It does, but i've updated it anyway. Thank you for the reminder, I sort of forgot I released this one.

Does this work fine with 1.5? Or does it need to be updated?
Hei  [author] 9 Mar, 2024 @ 10:58am
Sure. There were some plans for future updates, it would be tech based so as you advanced from tribal to spacer it would scale less on psy sensitivity and focus more on a base damage. I might even integrate some of VFE's options to allow different attacks.

But generally speaking I've tapped out of modding for a while, most things I do are small personal projects like this.

i think id like this a lot more if it was more just scaling on your own sensitivity and the beam attack isnt really reliable enough for me to use this but maybe if i was playing a medieval full convert it would be better

pshicast expendit... wow...

dude in the mod Vanilla Pshicast Expendit is a psycast that creates superheated pearls. They are useless but with your mod they can get value

I'm all for making psy-related things, as I love playing a psychic tribe or psycast heavy colonies. I'd fully support a psyshield belt as it was on the list of things I'd want from a big commissioned mod but yknow... warhammer 40k minis took over that cashflow.

The ability to scale psy weapons that scale damage comes from Athena Framework, so most of the credit goes to the team there. They also made "Eltex Weaponry" if you want more scaling weapons!

I do like the idea of making a shield belt that scales with psy, I'm not sure if the framework supports it, but I may give it a shot on making it myself if I get some free time.

i always found psi strength to be underutilized. Even force weapons from other mods didnt capitalize on it when they claimed to. Thank you for making my thoughts reality. Ever thought about a full weapons and armor set that scales off psi strength? I know that it has never been done successfully and would love to see it done well.

Time to use this on the super-psycaster with full eltex gear that's on psy-drugs

Interesting idea. Ill keep them in mind, I could at the very least do a compatibility patch

Regarding your special ingredient, might I suggest using either of these mods :

Looks like it would integrate quite nicely with the Elder's faction, too...

It's something I whipped up for fun and personal use that I thought i'd share in case someone else was looking for a similar mod, that being said I wouldn't say balance was my biggest concern with it; Its not a world destroyer by any means and due to how it scales it can be underwhelming or very strong, I would say on average its just okay though, due to being a beam weapon it can struggle against moving targets as well.
Hei  [author] 8 Dec, 2023 @ 4:22pm
As far as I am aware; No. It uses a feature from Athena's framework to achieve this. There are some things of note though;

It scales based on both the user and the target; so even if your pawn has very high psy-sensitivity, it will stumble against a mechanoid or a foe with low psy-senstivity.

On average use case scenarios it wasn't absurdly strong, but I never tested it with some of the more op mods, so I cant say how that will pan out.

Is there a cap on the amount the damage will scale?

Because, certain mods let you get to *stupid* levels of psy sensitivity.
