I just tested with "Mod Config Menu Pure" and seens to be working as expected, maybe u are using a different MC, don't know whats the problem.

Setting the amount of blood spent in the MC doesn't work.,Just spend a max of blood or two soul hearts.;I also noticed that this item works in a way that is replaced with a new item after getting it instead of directly changing the original item.,I don't know if it's correct.

Paying hearts for the usage limit a lot the item, but yeah, you can break the game by combining this with Rock Bottom and Binge Eater. However, many combinations can honestly break the game. Anyway, I added an option for enabling broken hearts.

this just makes the item broken honestly
i hate magic skin a lot as an item but this just feels a bit broken, maybe making it just giving you the broken hearts but not replacing future items?
