Good room with a great ambience!

Now, about the grievances: :steammocking:

lapinkiller45 <<AD>> was right: The digits of the mirrored numbers in the dark room are in the wrong order. Write a number on a paper (or in a text editor) then look at it in a mirror; you will see by yourself. That is what I did to be absolutely certain I was right before posting this comment.

Also, as obvious said: There should be something indicating that the captains were positioned at the table relatively to their ships.

Overall it's a good room. Great sound and pictures. However, there are places that can be improved. My bf and I used help for the piano and captain vs. ship location puzzle. The piano one was really hard and impossible to solve for people lacking music knowledge. The location one was ok, we could have tried harder to solve it. It;s just like when we walked into a room, we saw something that obviously connected with another thing. However, we thought the last medallion might be in the chest and missed the hidden room... Anyways. There are also places quite classic and a little bit tedious (the dark room with symbols representing 1-9 based on their heights). The final chamber was way too simple compared to the ship. The author said this room is designed for single-player. I actually think two is better, for example, when you count the numbers of skulls and etc along the paths printed on two sides of the wall. 7/10. Good job!

The puzzles are not logical in some cases. It was up for a strong start with the star puzzles but the rest afterwards was obscure at best.
Why should captains sit at a table in the order they later position their ships? That makes no logical sense outside of "this is all a puzzle so even random things are connected and have a meaning even if there is no reason they should". The design is really awesome and a lot of work went into the design and the mood and all. But the puzzles could be improved. At least the ship puzzle could be fixed easily if there was an actual hint declaring "the captains sat for some mysterious reason at the poker table like their ships are positioned". But yeah, I enjoyed the scenerie and especially the first "chapter" was visually beautiful.

My cousin and I enjoyed the whole experience. Clever puzzles and attention to details!! Thank you !

ESL bullshit

Just absolutely impossible, your made it on purpose, it's illogical af

Use of AI for some visuals.... icky.

Even the hints about the coordinates was awful and they don' help to solve the puzzle right , it's 100% unsolvable.

The riddle with piano I got with hints , but I don't like the logic of it. It totally unobvious as we tried out like 3 different logical options for it.

And we couldn't open the secret chamber although we've spent a lot of time to discover rooms before solving puzzles. And we won't found the last medallion and we still don't know where it is though we solve puzzle that give 1 of it to us and found another in the storage.

Riddles was not bad , some of them even interesting and creative.
But it was mostly unpleasurable experience and the worst experience among all rooms that I with my friend saw

Also thank you for the skip possibility because my friend was bugged in the maze part and we were forced to restart

The style / decor / interrior 7.5/10
The riddles/experience of walkthrough 3/10

your hint in the walkthrough that shows the number of red books is wrong. a couple numbers were transposed fyi

Great map design and good art. However I understand almost NONE of the puzzle and relied heavily on the walk-through, which uhh isn't very useful when it comes to symbols. The star map I find it hard to match without lines but overall clear. the puzzles in the room were most confusing especially the candle pw + piano. The escape part was kinda creepy
Remohir 29 Dec, 2024 @ 3:20pm
Very ambitious room, with some of the puzzles being quite obscure, making it very hard. However, great job with the atmosphere and the other puzzles.
Chipsette 9 Dec, 2024 @ 3:05pm
I played with a friend and we enjoyed it as it is quite difficult. We made it without any hint. It was an absolute pleasure to find those solutions that are quite hard but amzing when we found it all.
Thank you for this map, one of the best (or the best) i played so far.
Being 2 brains to solve it was not a luxury ! Please continue to make those ! So great ! :eskey:

Playing without the guide is impossible, some puzzles are blowing mind, (like the piano that doesn't have any sense, I tried with the key notes and nothing) I have NEVER player so stressfull map, I always finish the maps and I couldn't finish this map because was horrible... 2/10,the idea was really good but had a bad execution :SeriousSkull:
xtrm 9 May, 2024 @ 4:10pm
What a crazy map with riddles that became increasingly abstract to the point where even the solutions provided in the walkthrough don't make any sense sometimes.
Shade 12 Apr, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Overall the map is really fun but i still dont understand how to do the piano puzzle. If someone could explain it I would really appreciate it.
Sox'n'Fox 5 Apr, 2024 @ 11:04am
Vague instructions to a straight-forward task aren't a puzzle. 2/10.
kungkrut 28 Mar, 2024 @ 4:30pm
Defo in the top 3 rooms i've ever played so far. Really hard at times, but not confusing, which made us keep at it. Very well done mister asshai!
orsiszaboo 28 Mar, 2024 @ 7:16am
The room was too dark making it unenjoyable.
No(bo)dy 27 Mar, 2024 @ 12:40pm
It was a nice thematic room I quite enjoyed it. However

* The signs of the first room were a bit too hard to figure out which made the puzzle very hard without any particular reason. If they were more clear, it would be way better.

* The piano of the last room, was such a headache to solve. We even looked at the walkthrough because we got tired of it, and still took some time to figure out which exact letters you had to press (since they were multiple in the piano).
Lunaris 11 Mar, 2024 @ 6:56pm
I loved this room however the mirror puzzle for us was impossible. why is the first number of the last row 7 but the answer is 2?
Asshai  [author] 11 Mar, 2024 @ 1:36pm
Hey! Thanks for the kind words everyone, super happy that Pine featured my room!

@lapinkiller45 <<AD>> - The numbers are mirrored correctly, multiple people have tested at and agreed that this is the correct way to display the mirrored results. I'll double check to make sure.

@Garaj - If you are stuck, be sure to check the in-game walkthrough! For this puzzle, the lights mean the number of starts in a constellation. Once you successfully identify one, like Libra, the text refers to a number. 3rd here would mean the 3rd letter in Libra, which would be B. You'll get a bunch of letters you can turn into numbers with the cypher and enter the code to the lock.

@Iber - You should have found the locations of all ships and you should know which ship is placed in which direction of the map (N-E-S-W). There is an X on the map in the storage room, the ship closest to it is the one you are looking for.
Winged 10 Mar, 2024 @ 5:04pm
Great environment design, challenging but great!
Iber 9 Mar, 2024 @ 6:47pm
How do you figure out the ship names to know who is closest to the treasure?
Garaj 9 Mar, 2024 @ 3:09pm
Hello, I play with 2 friends and we can't figure out how to complete puzzle that is right after constellations puzzle. We got the note with "Find 6 lights then take the 3rd" etc. We tried most of the possible solutions: numbers multiplicatons and summation. We can't figure out what was specific solution for this puzzle. In our opinion, we can't figure out the solution: the only solution WE can find is that this note has something to do with number of stars in constellation.
1) If we're missing something can you tell us what leads us to wrong conclusion?
2) If our conclusion is right can you tell us what to do? Probably changing the note will help for other people trying to solve this puzzle in the future.

Also, we did find the room challenging and we quite enjoyed it :)
lapinkiller45 <<AD>> 8 Mar, 2024 @ 8:03am
In the dark chamber, we read the numbers in a mirror, so they should be reversed for the answer . I couldn't solved this puzzle because of that.
RonJonJovi 6 Mar, 2024 @ 9:46pm
I generally just don't like sliding puzzles, especially when the abstractness of the image makes it hard to really be sure which one goes where, but other than that, this is quite possibly the best room I've played in Escape Simulator. It wasn't too short like many of them, but never seemed like it was dragging on, so I was fully engaged the entire time I was playing.
Jattazo 16 Jan, 2024 @ 6:51am
absolutely beautiful and really fun map! very cool worldbuilding and challenging puzzles. my only complaint, which may be a bit nitpicky, is in the dark chamber, when translating the symbols to numbers, having it start at 1 instead of 0 felt very strange. given that the lock has 10 symbols per roller, and the vast majority of locks do 0-9 instead of 1-10, it was very confusing when this one had the lowest digit as 1 instead of 0 . outside of that, absolutely no complaints and wonderful map! <3
Boosted 12 Jan, 2024 @ 7:06pm
Hey! Fun map and very creative! I loved the Atmosphere and the puzzles weren't too difficult, but not too easy. Only got stuck a twice and had to reference the guide. Did it Coop with one friend and worked perfectly. Thank you.
MrGela 11 Jan, 2024 @ 4:22am
Hi! I really liked the first part, in the small boat with the constellations, really scenic! :)
DTBilardo 10 Jan, 2024 @ 10:47pm
i found it sooooooo dificult, nice decorations.
Truffle Thief 9 Jan, 2024 @ 9:03pm
Very fun, unique rooms and puzzles. Was able to play with two people without problem, encountered one bug but was still able to complete the game with the handy dandy skips~ ^-^
Kitarla 9 Jan, 2024 @ 8:50pm
This was good but I found the sliding puzzle and captain room puzzles a little challenging. Once we had the hints it helped a lot, but even knowing they were hints felt a little tricky.

Hey Kewu! Thanks, that’s really nice of you! I’ve published it 2 days ago, it takes a while to accumulate the “real” rating.
Kewu 9 Jan, 2024 @ 12:08pm
I don't know why you only have 3 stars... I thought this was an excellent room!
Samhhain666 8 Jan, 2024 @ 3:33pm
This gave me motion sickness because of the snow.
