So i have some mods that give Trait starting weapon but look like this mod make it doesnt happened. Would be cool if they compatible?

how does this really work?
it creates a new random characeter?
what about location? is it vanilla locations only? more custom location? is it compatible with modded maps?

For the random starts, is it just with the 4 basic game towns or all over the map?

Glad to hear it's working, I really need to make some time to extend and improve it, work is a limiting factor for now :D (I have a lot of ideas on my backlog)

I definitely overreacted too soon with my comment, because that was just me being unlucky, I found out later through general play that I can get up to as many as 20 traits and as little as no traits. however that's with the popular trait mods that add traits and occupations like more traits, even more traits and that one occupation overhaul one that I forgot the name of. also however I doubt the fact the traits and occupations existence would affect your mods capability of generating them into the random character considering your mod was loaded last on the list.

so in other words I was a dumbass and your mods not the problem.

It should choose between all available traits, if this is not the case csn you test it without other mods and confirm again? If it still does it I will try to make time to take a look at the problem.

straight up thought this would make it choose a whole bunch of random negative and positive traits and found out the hard way that it only chooses like 6 traits in total.

Hi Chemical Shock

We're using this mod on a private server and are finding that many traits aren't applying, such as Hunter not giving any benefits

I Notice that Lil_Cerb says the same below and that he fixed it, but I am unsure how he fixed it

There are no configs yet, unfortunately i have had a lot of work recently but I hope within the next weeks to make some much needed improvements.

Is there any configuration or settings im missing? No Sandbox settings and I don't see a config. I am always seeing roughly the same trait combo just different character looks and name

I spawned in with all of the negatives I could get to fitness but my fitness level was 4 and was leveling like normal. I am not really upset by that but I was kinda wanting to see a no fitness character try to build themselves up. Is there any way to avoid having 4 in str and fit? might try another to see if it is always like that. Awesome concept though! love it!

Is support for Dynamic Traits possible? When generating a new character, the traits adding skill levels don't actually apply the skill level bonus (such as Brawler).

Skill levels do apply when creating a custom character, even with DT enabled

Please add support for this mod ! Really want to expand the list of perks when randomized.

It would also be great if it was possible to choose +/- equivalent perks (that is, that would not be outweighed in the negative or positive side). As it seemed to me, I had characters with a large preponderance of negative perks.

With this mod you can be both unfit and athletic while having fitness level 4.

Mod is capable of spawning in the player with incompatible traits.
Stout and Feeble, I somehow have both of them at the same time. On top of that both Strength and Fitness are level 4, with XP showing as -19500/18000 .

@SpankHerBoobs It's possible that the load order of dynamic traits gets the original traits before Random Start clears and generates new ones, thanks for pointing that out - My script should set overweight between 95-105 ~ I will add this to my list of todos and see if I can find a work-around.

Used this with dynamic traits, and got overweight as a random trait yet my weight started at 85. is this a dynamic traits bug or random start? I don't see a real difference in gameplay

@baggy0105: Using the random button uses the points system to select traits, however my script has no such limitation.

Yerkarruo: When you have the option to change something you don't like, most people will do it... when that option is removed and it is completely unexpected, it is way more fun (and especially is aimed at mp to prevent those run and gunner that get over confident.... if they lose their character it is much more devastating) when you finally build up your next character and learn to live with those traits... the same again, you'll try not to die as you can not just decide to add the traits you want.

I have some planned additional features which will use player rating... but those will come later :)

For now it only randomises the character and traits after your initial death

The start is in a new map? Or is it the map as your previous character with a randomised character and spawn location?
