Skipgate noise can be disabled in the VPE settings already, @hhhvsg. It's called "Mute Skipdoor Sound", 3rd from the bottom on the VPE options pane.

This is already an amazing mod, but if we're trying to make the distortion even less visually abrasive, would it be possible to fix the way the animation loops and resets? The way it appears to stutter is nearly as annoying as the huge size of the effect.

Wow it's like you reached into my head and made this mod. I just used skipdoor for the first time yesterday and it hurt my head so bad. Opened the front page of the workshop and here this was haha !

thank you, theres way too many effects going on now a days in rimworld, makes my head hurt
