yeah, because it was the magelock unit that got reworked during the mystic update, not the magelock pistols/magelock hero item. unless im misremembering, barely touched the game after mystic update

mod was last updated 15th of june, eldritch realms/mystic update released 18th of june. mod is outdated, some stuff which got changed e.g. magelocks wont work properly

Is there any way to make the units smaller? the World Bane Wyrm is two times the size of a normal dragon.

I found that if you take out the new units and the summon sets, the game runs a lot faster.

Hello, I love your mod and I appreciate all the work you've done! I really hope you don't take offense to this, but might you guide me in how to edit out all the new units? I want to try with all the other changes, but I'd rather not have units that do 200-400 damage, if you know what I mean. I only play single player against the AI. I can ignore using them, but I'm afraid the AI will still use them and you definitely still encounter them in independent armies.

@legate_great_mr_fox not intended, fire giant now has their attack back
@skaz88 maybe in the future but currently i dont think goldtouched deserves being a major transformation and i also dont think it deserves a buff (in the context of ascension mod standalone) so unfortunately no
@daredevil83 yes, phasing enchantment having imperium upkeep is intended, though i will potentially revert that in the future (currently, u can pre-cast it by having it active without casting it so that you can enter a major battle with it ready to be casted to gain the effect without the upkeep, as a workaround)

@CometDeer yeah, having additional skill points very much does break Chosen Ones. Personally I'm playing mostly multiplayer games in a community with a decent amount of skilled players including myself and the Ashen One skill line is one of the weaker ones imo, Blademaster (melee skill tree) is the strongest in my experience.

@Endag Thanks for the succinct reply! I played around with Chosen Ones a bit more since my last two comments and it's just.. Really strong. I made the decision to nerf myself to only one hero and I still completely rolled over the AI almost every single fight. Once you get the levels rolling they just become super duper strong.

I for one don't mind too much because I am so unbelievably bad at the game, so having a game where I just point my one-man legion at the nearest stack and wipe it can be fun. I also only play exclusively play on my own against the AI, so the imbalance doesn't hurt anyone.
For me, I'd maybe suggest hiding some of the stronger abilities behind the Descent.(The Ashen skill-line in particular. Hunter of Nightmares is BONKERS.)

Though come to think of it, I do also used a 2x skill points mod + level 30 cap, so that might be why he turned out so insanely strong. Anyways, I'll cut it short here. The 1000 character limit is killing me.

Generally if you have something that edits the same resource they won't both work, only the one that is loaded last in mod order will (so for example, if you have a mod that edits the skeleton units, you may not see them as recruitable if it loads afterwards, since Ascension edits each skeleton individually by changing their requirement to be drafted to be the 'Skeleton Reanimation' empire skill being unlocked.

@CometDeer thank you for the feedback! Bit of a spoiler here, 'The Descent' is going to be a skill that makes even friendly heroes die instantly at the cost of increasing the power of Dark Lord's Chosen even further (so essentially your 3 hero army will become a 1 hero army if you pick it), it's just currently unfinished.

@skaz88 could you provide context? I just tried doing this on the current live build (literally right now) and it seems to work fine, I can recruit all 4 skeleton types after getting the skeleton reanimation skill

My second suggestion comes down to the whole "no army with heroes" mechanic. And I think it is pretty cool. However, I also think that with how strong the "Dark Lord" heroes are it really shouldn't be every hero. Maybe I'm biased, but why not just give the strong abilities and downsides to your ruler and leave the "generic" heroes as is? Maybe give a lower hero cap?
Personally I'd also think the flavoring of making your ruler the "Dark Lord" rather than simply serving such an entity as much more appealing.

First and foremost I just really wanna get it out that I love your mod and for you to keep up the good work! I'm gonna keep playing around with it and you can be sure I'll be cheering from the sidelines(visibly or not) as its developed regardless of whether any of the things I listed above are implemented or not.

This has easily become my favorite mod after returning the game between the release of E&A and now.

Love the new stuff this mod gives me to play with, though I have one suggestion I'd like to make.
I really love a ruler-centric build and I really like my ruler to stand out from my "normal" heroes, which is probably why I really liked the Dawn of Dragons DLC.
Anyways, this of course all brings me to the Chosen Ones society trait. I really love that trait for obvious reasons but I feel like it could do with a few changes.

Firstly I think that while it's cool that you get a single tier 4 item it does present one major flaw for me: That is that it is a random weapon and it seems to overwrite my starting loadout. I think I'd prefer to just be able to select my loadout rather than potentially getting a ranged weapon which I find to be not as good at the start with no troops to frontline.

Gonna have to split this one in two. Sorry about that.

I'm not sure why but for some reason this mod is removing mending awakening from the sun priest in high culture, potentially a conflict with Devious Watchers Expanded, Experimental Balance Mod, or Unique Unit Rank Bonuses...?

Primal can be selected again, but all of my custom Primal heroes are gone. I don't know if they've been deleted or if something is blocking them from showing up.

@skaz88 @Videogamer40000 thank you for the info, yeah something went wrong and caused primal as a faction to disappear which caused the encyclopedia to brainfart when searching for their units/buildings etc.

I think something has gone wrong, because the new Golden Realms trait is applying to EVERY custom realm regardless of whether or not it's been picked. I was very confused to load my saved game and find that I had infinate resources all of a sudden.

Also can we get the society trait mod updated, when i use it my game seems to have huge freeze times between turns, also the primal spirit animals are missing when i use your society trait mod as well. One of my favorites as it adds so many good changes.

Hi, was the mod updated for the new patch?
I just had a battle where the balance seemed to be completely crazy, my units (Primal culture) were all within normal ranges HP and DMG-wise, while the enemy had a barbarian skirmisher with 19dmg *3 attacks in melee on a tier 2 unit (a skirmisher, not even fighter type) and Wind Rager (forgot the name, also tier 2) was hitting my tier 1 units for 30dmg while taking only 8-9 dmg in return. The enemy was killing my shield units in one attack while couldn't kill the Wind Rager even attacking with three units.

@geolas You don't need the other mod, that one affects society traits and nothing else. This one affects everything BUT society traits.

@Batman Billy GR i previously mentioned that its a possibility in the future to split the different components of this mod into separate parts, if there's enough demand then i could definitely do it
