Can't fix configuration because can't turn on mod
1) Make a world with one or more subworlds
2) Make a portal, place it, link it to the subworld and press save
3) Right click the portal
4) After loading into the subworld, hit escape, settings, return
5) Right click the portal when you get back
Expected results: travel to the subworld
Actual results: nothing happens
making it if you travel to another world by a portal it should tp you to the other portal
i want to make the process of traveling worlds more natural
it explains nothing
The problem is that when entering a subworld, the server boots up a second instance, which can take too long with large modpacks to boot up.
I'll have to revert to using a separate server to host the secondary world and swap between them. Would be nice if this mod allowed subworlds to be hosted by a separate server process so it can always be loaded as well.
Have a nice day
A simple example of how that might work would be to have your main world be Large Normal, and with a portal you can go to a Small Expert world for the exclusive boss treasure bags that you can get from farming them there instead of in your main Normal world.
There are a lot of mods and custom servers that can use this tool to great effect. Imagine having a server main world full of beautiful builds and no terrain destruction, but 4 portals that lead to Normal Crimson, Normal Corruption, Expert Crimson, Expert Corruption etc. All on one server.
My only gripe with it currently is bosses that you kill in a subworld (vanilla or modded) don't count in the normal world and when you leave and come back the game claims you never killed it in the first place even if you have the "save progression" option enabled for the subworld.
