Hey, sorry if it has been asked already, but how exactly do I use the transponder and supply drop? When a crate drops, how do I open it or use it?

Where ever you are i hope you are staying safe and having a good day. Dont stress about the lack of updates, life is more important that code and pixels on a screen. Take how ever long you need.

I think a weapon synthesis feature is needed to increase the panel percentage.

Sorry for the lack of updates, am currently very busy with college IRL. I'm very much aware of the balance issue with the drops, and I'll try to push an update as soon as I'm free. I really really appreciate your feedback!

@Orifan1 Yes, anybody is allowed to fork this mod and make and publish their own fixes and modifications. The github repository is linked in the Developer's Notes in the description. Note that the mod is under the GPL-3.0 license. If you decide to publish your fixes, you are welcome to promote them via the Discussions or the comments.

I'd like to be able to incorporate your fixes into my mod, though, so that users won't have to install the fixes separately -- of course, due credit will be given, and I'll do my best to inform you if the fixes are included in an update.

Idea: add ability to customizable "nerf" weapons(mods with 0 cost what add a caps to some stats, max ammo for example)

But yeah, like what was said below, WAY too common. Maybe someone can make a patch mod to reduce the drop rate of these upgrades for the time before the next update. Would be redundant but just a suggestion.

I do notice enemies oftentimes drop stat mods which is rather frequent. Is there any changes on the frequency for them?

Just tried this, these are my new favorite guns, but there are some serious issues; notably, the upgrades drop like candy from literally everything (to the point where finding a normal sword or whatever feels extraordinarily rare), much of the tech is to easy to buy, and the bayonet kinda punches above its weight-class as far as I can tell.

I have sincere adoration for your design of the weapons across the board. I personally would like to request revolvers with rails, as well as something akin to a single-load autocannon (just 'cannon').

since the mod is currently unstable and unoptimized for MP, would you be opposed to a modder creating a fork of this that *is* usable in MP?

Side note, I was doing the gacha and actually got the ADMIN MOD UPGRADE (You definitely need to fix that.)

My thoughts:
(Nuetral) Make the upgrades rare again, like the rarity they where previously; these guns are practically endgame items that have infinite upgrade potential & starbound is alr a longterm investment for most players who actually play the game.
(Major) Make the upgrades (specifically damage related and level related) WAY WAY more expensive.
(MAJOR) I personally think the 50k note guns should be 100k since they're meant to really show value in guns, but if you buy a 50k gun, give it the max level upgrade (17k) then sell it in a reimburser it sells for 300k which is literally just cheating at that point cause it went up in value by 6x its value.
(Minor) Expand on the "gacha" system, it feels right now like every single box is a win, in fact I spent around 20k and quickly jumped from 20k (just from boxes) to almost 100k (again using reimberser)
(BIGGEST) Make the reimberser cost 100x its value, this is more valuable than literally any item in the game and it 5k pixels...

Great mod, unfortunately major balancing issues. I understand its beta but this is ridiculous..

1. Recent update made upgrades too common to obtain.
2. Shop costs too much whilst the items and weapons in it realistically cost too little (mostly the upgrades and things past the guns tab)
3. You can take the reimburser (5k) sell tons of items for max value to get a handgun (1.25k) and 14 base damage X1 upgrades (3500) for a total of 10k notes almost you get basically a tier 7 pistol (92 to 173 dmg PER SHOT) allowing you to skip the entire point of difficulty in Starbound.

Is there a requirement now to unlock the Protector blueprint in the crafting menu?
Just created a new character and I don't have it in my crafting menu unless I go into admin.

also how do you convert a weapon to a 2 slot? i have a wristgun i want to use the phase shifter's rmb on but i cant because it doesn't convert it to 2 handed

In the C crafting menu, there should be a weapon that you can build in there. This should be your first Project 45 gun.

Just started playing this game. One of the very few mods I actually use. Haven't come across any of your weapons yet but like I said I just started. I do notice that even at the very begin planet I'm finding a ton of gun mods. Probably shouldn't be that plentiful honestly. Ive learned to ignore them for now.

this mod is great, but I have one, very much dumb problem, You can farm all of the mods parts easily in a B.Y.O.S ship easily, effectively skipping a lot of gameplay, by just throwing hundreds of enemy flares on the ground because you are invincible in your ship.
