look at how other people do it is how i learned
gcfscape also lets you extract sounds from vpks so you can make replacements with the proper file structure and whatnot

can just plunk it in a folder in the addons folder within gmod

How do you replace npc sounds on gmod? i have always wanted to make a mod replacing poison headcrab sounds with funkytown.
