Wow thanks so mich! Id say you hit the nail on the head as far as my intentions go. In flash isaac, the brimstone looked way darker (like blood) and i was trying to combine them. Best of both worlds, yknow?

I really like this mod, not just because the bold beams look better and stand out more, but because this change makes sense. Brimstone is supposed to be a "blood laser barrage" but I've never got the impression of blood from it. Darkening the edges makes the color more in-line with a blood-red and helps solidify this idea the item is going for. I have no idea whether or not you considered this while making the mod, but either way I feel it enhances the experience just a bit more!

Hemoptysis sneeze effect is actually a single blood explosion effect (1000.2.2) and multiple haemo trail effects (1000.111.1). All of these use their normal animation files (1000.002_blood explosion.anm2 and 1000.111_haemo trail.anm2 respectively), so it's better left unchanged, I think.
