The workaround for me that works is changing the mine amount in the config from what I believe was at 0.4 to the vanilla of 0.2. Haven't played with any other sizes yet.

## How much of the voxel to mine at a time. Larger is faster drilling. Vanilla is 0.2

Not sure on what mod it is yet, but is the heavy mining drill not compatible by chance? It removes the dirt and I see the ore nodes wiggle but then they don't get removed. The Mk II Drill and pneumatic drill seem to work fine (Venus).

I have to say, it threw me off when I didn't seen the Deep Mine starts since I'm playing again, until I read the earlier posts :)

I can't seem to get it to work either. Version 0.2.5499.24517

Troubleshooting Steps:
-StationeerMods is installed and working.
-Deep Mine Mod is installed, enabled, and above Core, but the bedrock level appears to be unchanged (at least on Venus).

Hi, thanks for this great mod!
I wanted to ask whether it is possible to add Vulcan's Lava level to the config as well? The mod is pretty pointless on Vulcan otherwise if the Lava level is kept at the original -8

Please read the descriptions I took time to write them
Also just don't use the legacy if you're creating a new world. Legacy is only for older saves on old versions.

With the latest update getting "Field not found: single.WorldManager.LavalLevel Due to: Could not find field in class."

I do see ore generated, but haven't tested the yield to see if the mod is changing anything because that message is constantly spammed.

Ok so everything is working. What you are setting is the drop amount, not the spawn amount

Not sure why it's not working. Could be human error. Even after setting the first layer to 0 in the config, I get resources on the surface. I am seeing an intermediate difficulty, so the mod is doing something at least. Does it produce a log at all I could send your way?

I followed the instructions on Bepinex and Stationeers Mods, but can't seem to get this to work. Is it typically plug and play? It even seems I have more resources on the surface after install.

Legacy is just a plugin, to use it you need this and the plugin subscribed. You can see the instructions on the legacy plugin page

That's because they changed the latitude and longitude later on the vanilla moon. My mod is based on a early version of the moon when it changed to the new way of making worlds.

The texture stretching is actually a good guess, I haven't noticed that because when testing I used mars and not the moon, and after so many times opening and closing the game I started to not take very much attention to that

I have done further investigation and I believe the texture is being stretched to the bedrock or something (just visual investigation, not code). Not a big deal.

@AngryFroggo I spent some time writing my post and did not see your reply when I hit post comment sorry. To add to your post the sun is also setting when you start on the custom world Moon [Deep Mine] rather than rising.

@A-mak In the vanilla Moon map, the Earth is there, where it is supposed to be. In the Deep Mine Moon, the earth is "below" visible terrain. Sorry if that wasn't made clear in previous comments.

On either version, the textures are plain grey with this mod active.

I got a bit worried when you delisted this from steam workshop LOL. Deep mining is awesome even with the other perks.

I am about to test if I can overwrite the ore stack sizes with the stacked! mod (I'm not sure how mod load order priority works yet).

Also, just to emphasize my previous long-winded post I was just sharing what I noticed between base game, before and after core.

Unfortunately I am only amature at programming, however if you'd ever like me to test anything feel free to add me on steam :).

@A-mak I can't get the other parts of the mod out or people will complain that they can't play older worlds. I can test and see if I can make a legacy plugin for this to help that. When I made this none of this new changes to worlds and starting conditions existed.
Also it was so plants and nutrition would be compatible out of the box with my custom worlds.
Now I regret having this all coombined in one mod. I haven't yet got the time to see if I can split this mod.

Just fyi:
THIS MOD WORKS WITH VANILLA WORLDS

So my plan is to eventually make this mod to only change the mining aspect of the game. Until then my recommendation is: DO NOT create new worlds with a preset from this mod

@AngryFroggo Did you choose "Moon [Deep mod]" or just "Moon"? The one with deep mod tags is a custom scenario. In older versions of stationeers you could make your own custom scenario for any world and the ones I played on the moon I never noticed earth. You also do not start with the latest proper equipment (on current beta) it is also missing the starting condition choices. I have just tested just "Moon" and earth was there, it also still had the very deep bedrock.

Playing on the current beta I have noticed the following things:

When loaded ABOVE core:
-Top level ground texture of "the moon" looks super old and nothing like current
-Ice doesn't appear to have the extra tags Oxite is just labelled Oxite rather than Ice (Oxite) Ice (Water) however tags are shown correctly once in your inventory.
-Way more surface ores compared to base game.
-No starting conditions to choose from, defaults to standard.

With the mod loaded AFTER core:
- Ground textures still look super old and plain.
- Normal ore vein size, ores still drop amounts in range of what is specified in deepmod config
- The custom [Deep mod] worlds do not appear in the list
- The custom intermediary difficulty does appear in the list
- Bedrock is still super deep & gets harder to mine
- Able to select brutal starting conditions.


@Serialtasted I really appreciate you keeping this mod alive, is there any reason why you incorporated the other mods? Modularity is king imo.

Having done some testing, and being lucky enough to OOB before the procedural generation completed, I've discovered the the Earth is there, it's just on the other side of the world, as if we spawn on the dark side of the Moon.
I'm also getting the weird plain texture issue that was mentioned by another commenter earlier.
Checked with only this mod active.

Is the Deep Mine version of the Moon meant to not have Earth showing in the sky, or is this a potential conflict on my end? The normal Moon still shows Earth in the sky so I'm not sure.

Notes:
The lander was left untouched. This means that the items spawning are the same as before this update.
I might update this in the future but at least the mod works again.

Anyone having an issue with terrain textures basically not loading? Im on the moon and the ground is all flat gray color and looks pretty bad. Seems to functions fine though :)

Plants and nutrition is a fairly complicated mod, so this kind of updates on survival aspects of the game can screw the mod in a big way. I'm sure that Thunder will take care of it in no time

Yep. Only your mod works. Spawn with 99% 99% not sure if it's supposed to start ticking right away. Before I used plants and nutr, jet pack and some additional cosmetics plus trader mod. Everything worked. Even though Deep Mine is above the core I assumed it must overwrite bottom.
Well... I already went on Titan, so I guess I'll have to wait.

It's probably plants an nutrition, when I updated the mod I only tried without any other mods, and everything was fine. Also this mod doesn't make any changes that would make that happen. Can you try to disable it and try again just to check?
