i sent the 1.6 version to Ogam, but he's unavailable.
so it'll be updated whenever he uploads the mod.
else i'd have to reupload a separate continued version.

looks like ogam forgor to write the latest patch notes here:
- Fixed research techprints bug for non-royalty players
- Max cargo 400 -> 600

Nice mod. Vanilla Vehicles Expanded at this stage of development lacks normal high-tech air transport.
Yes, there are helicopters (except for the first one, he is useless), but finding their wrecks is a complete random.
I get them very rarely.
Have the opportunity to just buy blueprints and make a very decent air transport - make the game much more enjoyable. All factions have shuttles, and you fly on buckets with rivets.
The only thing I would note is the low transport weight. Well, that's understandable, it's not a huge shuttle. But you can carry a lot of troops.

@Smoke Fumus I don't use the Skyranger right now (planning on it though), but just going by stats it has lower cargo capacity because it's a sidegrade rather than a direct upgrade.

It has lower cargo than the Louie, yes, but it carries 3 more passengers, carries a bit more fuel, has better fuel efficiency (especially once it's flying), and is far more resistant to blunt damage.
As a downside it has a bit less total health and it's much larger, so giving it a landing pad takes up more room.

Why is this only 400kg cargo? Since it is "advanced" shouldn't it be competing with T3 vehicles, at least Louie which is 1200kg cargo cap?

@jaargo2000 it happens to all vehicles sometimes, I dont even have this mod active and it still happens to SRTS vehicles and non SRTS ones.

@jaargo2000 Yeah same exact problem for me, except it's started happening with all my different transport vehicles. Oddly enough, it only happens for certain maps.

Every time I try to land on a new map, I lose the entire vehicle and contents. Works fine for trade, just not for deployment.

I second the move to increase the cargo capacity of the Skyranger some, but not by a lot. It is primarily a troop transport. I would, however, MASSIVELY increase the speed at which it takes off and lands. In absence of the rope-deployment XCOM soldiers often use in the actual games, landing and quickly taking off again is about the closest we can get.

The Skyranger is built specifically for rapid deployment of troops. It should fire up and take off within a couple seconds of pressing the button, not a solid 15 seconds of wind-up as if it were a helicopter. It does, after all, use advanced alien materials and jet propulsion technology.

The Skyranger in XCOM 2 can haul at least 16 military supply crates during salvage missions, which would weigh at the very least 100kg each judging by their look, so I took the liberty to increase its cargo capacity to 1,500kg to reflect this. Other than that, awesome mod :-).
