Report a translation problem
I already have it working so well that the game started to look like openttd.
But after I deleted and redraw the barge paths while re-doing the barge ports, it suddenly doesn't seem to work.
The towns that were supposed to trade cargo are not connected physically by anything. Only through barges can they transport cargo to each other. All of the factories are ready to export, but they won't send trucks to the barge ports.
I tested if ferry paths were the problem by trying to create ferry lines running through them; ferries seem to run along them just fine.
I even placed a new barge port, and it still won't spawn barges nor see trucks going to them
Any idea?
I can't seem to place any stops on the barge or cargo heliports with the mod on.
I'll try unsub-resubbing to see if it fixes it. I'll tell you if it works.
This option doesn't seem to appear in the mod's settings. I know this is an excerpt from the original mod, but is there any possibility of configuring this?
I will play a little with ACME, but I'm starting to think some for of collage could be better though.
+1 for cargo blimps – they are surprisingly good if you don't care too much about the speed.
Since I can't donate at this time, I'd like to contribute by attempting to recreate the cover image in game. Will ping you if I succeed or something.
I still can't find the barge harbor anywhere in my game, though, even with the Findit mod. The barges even show up under Advanced Vehicle Controls, but it's like the harbor doesn't even exist!

@jon.tiedemann13 - Maybe the option dont spawn until full is on? show me your setup in a picture and the options. also make sure the old barges mod is not also enabled.

path-finding is up and running, and so are the barges. MUCH LOVE.
* Helicopters now hold 3 trucks.
* Barges and cargo helicopters now have sliders like in optimized outside connection to wait until full
* New option use at your own risk - barge wont spawn until full.
Instead of "material: cargo" my transfer reads "material: none".
Instead of "load: 0-100%" my transfer reads "Load: 1"
Changing the capacity of the barges seems not possible, and changing the capacity of the helicopters has no effect on the amount of cargo that is actually carried. For both vehicle types the maximum load seem to be '1 unit' right now. It almost seems like it's transporting the vehicles themselves (one at a time) instead of the cargo.

Maybe it depends if the Industries-DLC is installed or not as the warehousing may prevent this problem. But that's just an asume as I don't have it.
I play with an island map and I don't want to use road connections between the islands so this tiny detail is very remarkable.
To have some realism even with this issue I only use very little barges.
But if this problem could be fixed I would be very thankfull.

I think it was Rebalanced Industries or a descendant. It's been awhile...
1. Yes, they do 'work' on old map loaded with new mod
2. I did not download any heli stuff (but i will).
However I said 'work' because Im geting 100's of barges all at 10% capacity, 1 Truck = 1 Barge.
I will play around switch some mods off (i dont have too many) and see if i can fix it.
1. Will my barges work if i load a map where I used original barges mod?
2. Do I need to download helicopters and their depos if I only want to use barges?
3. Do we know if BloodyPenguins original barges mod is ever coming back?
