The reason why they haven't update a lot is because Some mod Developers would just finish it before the Original Developers of FNF,Like the new difficulty,they leaked it and after 4 hours a Fan-made mod of the new difficulty just show up,This forces the Developers of FNF to do better then mods,Otherwise,they will receive a lot of threats etc.
Actually, FNF is a very large project,it has over 40+ weeks,and brand new death/winning animation etc,To be honest,it would take around few years to finish it(yeah ninjamuffin said it)
Also,don't worry if they runs away with the donations,If they run away with donations,they will be prosecuted
Second,PhantomArcade(FNF Official Painter)also posted his work video (depicting irons etc) not long ago

they definitely haven't abandoned it, in fact i'm pretty sure they've been actively updating just not on the kickstarter page (pretty sure its on some other site)

From what I read after I saw these comments, it's because there haven't been a lot of updates, and it seemed like they abandoned the game. As someone who develops mods, and has done some game development, this takes a long while, especially with a small team, to make the amount they have to work on.

Whilst they could provide more spoilers and news etc. (dev streams that were talked about haven't been there for a while, from what I gathered), it could very well be they're still developing actively. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and if I'm honest, I frankly don't care either way, lmao. I made this as a small challenge for myself, and because riveren liked the idea.

from what i've gathered from a friend of mine who donated to the project they got there stuff all on time so i don't know what you're talking about

either way point is let people enjoy the game; i respect the game and its fans quite a lot, considering the passion behind a lot of the mods people create and this is basically just the fnaf/undertale cycle all over again (big indie game, people like it which includes kids, people bandwagon on shitting it because of the vocal "cringe" kid minority, and then going under the radar as that "cringe" minority flocks to the next thing with the actual dedicated community still remaining)

this happened with fnaf, undertale, minecraft, arguably cuphead, hell even persisting today with games like pizza tower (albeit to a less major degree, it wasn't tainted in any way like fnaf was for a while)

honestly i'd say just leave them be and let em have passion for what they like

Hi just wanted to stop by to say my opinion on this discussion.

The FNF devs haven't scammed anyone, the lead animator and artist literally posted a new teaser for the next update like a few days ago.

That being said, I do understand why people seem to think that the devs have scammed people. I mean, we barely get any teasers these days. Sure Phantom Arcade might do a stream here or there where he makes assets live on Twitch, but it doesn't change the fact that compared to other dev teams (Such as Re-Logic), they don't really give us much. So honestly I think it's understandable. That being said I still disagree, I just think they should give fans more teasers than what we've been getting.

I see, a shame, but this wasn't done as a fan thing anyways, at least not from the programmer's side. Simply just some AI experience and getting back into modding some more.

If your wondering, yes the devs scammed over 2 mil from fans who backed the game.

I personally have never played the game, nor had any interest in it. Someone in the Thorium discord said they would love to see a pet version of riveren's mod, and riveren said they would be honored if it was made. I saw it and decided, why not, hadn't modded in a decent while.
