It would be cool if there was an option to color-code the lancemate icons. It can be a bit hard to tell who is who when they're clustered together, and the pips above aren't always easy to make out.

Can't get this to work. I press B, the map comes up, but I have no mouse control.

This mod sounds very interesting in concept, but after installing it, it doesn't appear to work. While I can select lace mates on the battle grid, no action can be taken with them. for example, after selecting a lance mate, I am unable to command them to move to a location or to attack a target.

Just stumbled apon this today. I am thrilled, Ive wanted this in MW5 for so long and now I have it. Amazing, it makes such a difference

@Warrof @hesto2 I confirm it works on steam deck. I've just configured the right trackpad to act like a mouse and click is LMB, whereas left trackpad is RMB. it works very well for me.

Sadly, something seems to have made this mod not work anymore. I cannot get my lance to move around. It is locked to where I am looking when I open my grid. If I am looking up into the sky and issue an order, they just say they cant go there. Any help would be appreciated. took a break from the game and came back to it not working. Thanks

Is there a way to deactivate the "attack things not on the map" feautre? I'm constantly trying to tell my lance to move somewhere but they say "I can't attack that target" instead, because there's something there I didn't know about. Maybe put the two commands on different buttons or something?

it does work with vonHUD since it just replaces the battle map, but its a little small. Also I apparently having torso centering active (as in pressing c) and having the battle map open then turning left or right the torso does not follow the legs

@hesto2 odd, I only encountered it one time. It worked again on succeeding missions, must have been specific to that DLC campaign mission, I forgot which one, but I'll look into it some more on my next replay.

@Cursed Hawkins, it looks like dlc 6 had some unexpected changes in a hook I was using which caused this behavior on occasion. I just pushed out an update and would love to know if it resolved your issue!

@SirDiesAlot29 it should work. Your friend won't be able to use the battle grid, but aside from that it is just a shortcut for issuing lance orders so it shouldn't have any network issues. Let me know if I'm wrong though 🙏

@OmnesInterficere, Sorry to hear that! I haven't heard any other reports in this area so I'm hoping it is a mod conflict. If you want to DM me on discord or something (same username) then I could take a look at your mod load order and provide suggestions!

What happened with the mod? Now its only working with the minimap meaning if you want to shoot you need to have the map open as the mod no longer works there.

was working a few days ago. logged back in to continue my Rasalhague campaign but now the battlegrid orders don't work. unable to select allies and designate targets and locations.

Controller support doesn't work for it, unfortunately, so I wouldn't expect the Steam Deck to work well with it. If you try it and discover otherwise, I'd love to know!

Thank you for this! the only thing could be better is if you're using the f1-4 keys to select the units, it should press f5 to cancel after. if you forget it then it is trying to issue an order to the same unit instead of selecting the next. minor issue though.

They aren't per se, you can let it override vonHUD, and only things you lose is the hexgrid on battlemap (or any other modded grid you might be using), and if you use the round minimap you might have this go back to being square (though not sure about this).

Have you've been able to make Vonhud and BattleGridOrders compatible? I tried moving load lorder, but it seesm to be one or the other... if you had a labeled grid-system by default... then everything would be smooth. That's the only thing missing

Those dots represent the position in the lance they are
two dots-Lancemate 2
three dots-Lancemate 3
etc.
Also the Thumbnail SHOWS the icons with the dots you're referring too so why ask if they were apart of the base game? The only dots that are in the base game are what are used to represent the weight class of the mech WHICH NONE HAVE FOUR DOTS.

I have an idea! Can this mod work in conjunction with airstrike? By default, it is also aimed only through line of sight, but it would be convenient to use it with the help of a map.)

@Fuhrer, any chance you could send me a link to a screenshot showing the icons you mentioned? As for the selection menu changes, I've had people giving feedback on both sides of wanting it to deselect after issuing orders etc. I'm probably going to add a mod option soon where you can configure it to your liking

I also noticed one strange thing. In your demo video, as you select a group member and give him an order, the orders menu automatically switches to the selection of orders and the list of members, but for some reason this does not happen for me and I have to constantly manually return the menu to the list of members.

I just recently re-entered the game and noticed these square dots near the mech icons on the map. What do they mean? Are they somehow related to this mod or is this some kind of change in the game? =-=
Is this done by a mod to indicate that orders are tied to specific team members?

So the desync seems to have returned to this mod, only this time it seems to happen even during missions not just when you switch map sizes.

There is a mod that lets you issue pings (for example for coop players). Would you be able to implement that as well, so one could set waypoints and so forth?

@mugsy, that's interesting behavior 🤔 this mod doesn't actually touch any of the AI thankfully. It just uses the map instead of your cursor to pick which coordinates to move or attack (same as if you did F1 or F3). I'll keep an eye out for this though, thank you for raising!
