Unfortunately changing the missile explosion effects would require editing every single missile of the vanilla game, and subsequently every missile VRO has since there are a number of different effect entries they call back to.

unlike trails which all use the same single effect, its a lot harder to make a compatibility friendly replacer mod.

Maybe someday i will try my hand at it, but currently im busy with modding other stuff (custom ship n weapons) so it doesn't have priority

looks great, any chance of giving the missile explosion effects an overhaul too? vanilla missile explosion look like tiny farts in my opinion lol

those red flames on missiles can only be removed by editing the component.xml of every individual missile that has them.

i assume every mod just counts as a modified game when saving so yes, work under that assumption.

@ShadowFang: All mods modify the signature of the game, and therefore, will make the game produce modified saves.

for now its just one color, missiles still retain their own different rocket exhaust flare effect however
