Not good for multiple useage.
After 5 pieces the FPS Drops down from 144 to 20 and every 5 sec lags

I should add for those that read my previous comment. Consider that the citizens don't move faster than on lit asphalt but only the range is extended. It is good for extending the range by a bit but I'd recommend not using it for long distances for citizens using free time (food/recreation/doctor etc.). If your citizens take too long for doing their free time activities they will not have time to listen to radio or watch television, or if way too long a distance is used, to even get their needs met. Check the free time that it takes a citizen to walk and remember, they always visit store for getting food first, then from there they move to other free time activities so cluster them together (I know a lot of people already know this part but it took me 1000+ hours before I realised so I figure at least I might help someone).

I have recently started to use this mod to simulate bicycle paths. I place them along roads that pass along my residential areas connecting them to the local services. I have yet to have used the 1000m one but the 250m one is just right and to make sure the citizens don't travel too far or fast I space them with normal lit asphalt paths in between. To make them look different I just place a decorative asphalt road over them witch makes it seem like a bike path from a distance. Especially nice since this also allows me to build housing that isn't high capacity but mid capacity that looks nice and still allow them to "Bike" into the local supermarket. I could imagine this even making low density semi viable. It would be nice to have shorter sections so that I can fit it in tighter without it crossing weirdly. 40m, 60m and 100m would be nice since those are easier to fit in tighter spaces without being too short to not give a range boost. I most certainly enjoy this mod. Well done!

Can you make them walk slower?

@terectex have you considered making a vehicle extender, since what the max is 2500? do you think you would able to make a extender going 5000? so your citizens can visit small towns , villages

@terectec, this mod is by far my favorite! Good job man!

Do you happen to know how I can increase the speed with which people walk on these by chance ? I guess is from the element_script ini file.

Even if you cannot increase speed, great mod!

I would absolutely LOVE you to make the same for cars, they can travel about 1.5 km in this game, and i would love to see it extended to at least 5 km

@Echoes, yes, you place it and connect it with walking paths and it will work:steamhappy:
Echoes 26 Mar, 2024 @ 8:28am
How exactly am I supposed to place this? Do you just plop it down on a road and citizens will start walking on it?

thank you!

I express my gratitude to the author! With a small request, please make a path for 100 meters. It is useful in densely populated residential areas. Larger ones are easier to use in the industrial zone.

You have saved my desire to play this game. I found the relatively short distance people travel to be rather frustrating. Thank you!

Thanks a lot, that's a very helpful mod! Designing "organic" cities (especially in a low-density, country-style) is much easier with this mod.

very nice

god bless you

This is the best thing since sliced bread. Not a fan of the 1000m one, but the 250m is perfect to make a city 'walkable' in a realistic manner. Now i'm less anxious planning my city super perfect/tight. Thanks!

@mielnicki.adrian Here follows instructions:
1-go to the tab where you find the pedestrian paths, then go to the stairs in the tab; there you should see the extender. If you do not see it, go to the mod icon in the left-part of the interface and click "everything", then go back to the tab.
2- place the extender and connect it in both sides
3- enjoy

You created a very nice mod and but there are no detailed instructions on how to use this mod.

Maybe, for realism, equate the cost of building Walking Extenders to the cost of building a gravel path of a similar length?
Dreams 4 Jan, 2024 @ 3:01pm
that works ? and comment?
terectec  [author] 4 Jan, 2024 @ 1:14pm
