@SHEMPIMITE: Did you maybe make a local copy of the mod, if you did don't forget to delete it too ;) (for the main mod disable should be enough though, no need to unsubscribe from it). Else the dash ability you activate must come from another mod...

i've uninstalled the mod for now (for my multiplayer setup) but the Dash function seems permanently stuck in my game, even after deleting my entire Workshop content folder and verifying my game files. any idea how to fix this?

You make some of the most fun toys for this little sandbox, I'd love to see you take on the challenge of making something like the Star Gate replicators- Little drones that wander, eat a certain material to gain "chunks" and then a queen that takes those chunks and makes more drones.

I have an idea for a mod:
a large selection of things from the campaign you could not spawn in any way, in a spawn pack
So you could spawn stuff like the big bomb in the flood, the truxterminator, some of the robots (like the alarm one), the LTS semi, and others

I believe it was actually a mod conflict with TAPEDOWN, as that one adds its own sprint mechanic and the lack of dash wasn't happening the way you described.

@Tsukareta: I thought about that, but there is already plenty of mods that does the work pretty well right? I don't feel like adding "yet another copy" would be any good, especially since I don't expect any slicing mod I could do to be any better in term of performance compared to the existing ones X)

@JaxyS: It is a tool already, but if you want to activate the powers only when the tool is in your hands then you need to use the switch in the mod options ;) See my previous comment if you don't know how to get there.

@doplelakooper: Well you need to open the mod options to make the powers only active when you hold the tools. They can be accessed from the same menu where you enable/disable mods. If one of your bindings shows [] then it means that no key is defined for that binding, you can still change those in the mod options though.

@Tsukareta: Whall that's just how this mod is, not all mods can be totally OP ;) If you want more maybe try the Omni Gun, it can also throw all kind of projectiles but with more destruction options ^^

@Geneosis, how about this: The player has to install a speed hack/mod for the sonic, and the sonic mod will only have the powers from the games.

@Tsukareta: You mean the ones you hold in front of you as a shield or with the grab? That's definitely possible to have a multicolor outline, similar to what you see around the next object to grab, but nothing more visually complex :)

@Lemon: Sadly it wouldn't be that easy: on flat ground you can probably reach very high speed with on issue, but as soon as you add terrain slopes it may glitch through but the speed at which it will happen will never be the same depending on the slope angle (which is a pretty hard thing to compute in a mod). Same goes with walls: a very thin wall you may gltch trough at quite a low speed when you may be stopped at faster speeds on a larger wall. The point being: if you take the minimal speed to make sure you won't ever glitch in any of those cases, then it will probably be an average speed that does not really feel like you are Sonic at all X)

Mod updated! There is now a dummy Control "tool" and an option you can enable to make the powers from this mod only active when that tool is in your hand ;)

@Riley Jones: I don't think I will ever add the seize ability as there is no such thing as a clear definition of "enemy" and "ally" in this game, so there is no real way to make bots that attack the player start to attack each otehr instead (or if there it it would mean recoding a whole AI for those bots, which is way out of the scope of this mod). About the weapon, I won't do it myself, but I contacted some other modders on the Discord that might be interested in adding that part, so it may or may not happen ;)

@Lemon: Well sadly a mod based on greater player speed is not really a good idea for this game: When you reach a certain speed you will just start glitching through objects, and especially through the floor X)

@Tsukareta: First of all that is not one of the abilities in the original game, and then I think it would get a bit clunky to have ingame as the objects you are holding are still physically there, so if you move around holding a stack of items it would probably either destroy them if you hit walls/ceiling or destroy said walls and ceiling when you walk near them :/

@deck PRIME: I thought about that, but animating hands in this game is kind of a pain in the ***, even just having a hand in a static pose like what it did in the Shards mod took a while... So I don't think I will have the patience to try and do it again in this one X)
