Yes, its a simple retexture mod using built in and existing Vanilla Expanded Framework features. All my mods should be CE compatible.

Not sure what you mean, but I'd be happy to explain my thought process behind the retexture.

1. In the game, you can make certain structures like the HiTech research bench out of multiple different materials such as steel, plasteel or even gold. Despite what you see being completely white, lab structure will change color based on materials used. The computer structure itself will not change color however. This was done as a way to place regular research benches alongside that of the HiTech research bench, perfect for players who like to design cool labs and roleplay bases.

2. I like using Vanilla Expanded props in my modlist, and since I have a few prop mods planned, I thought it would be fitting to have the lab tables empty so that players can add research bottles and other lab/workshop props onto the tables for their enjoyment and roleplay experience. I tested it out on the mod prior to the release so it should work fine.

3. While I do agree it can be a bit baren, I did make one research variation that is simply just one massive computer for those who do not want a lab table present. I also think that the Techprint reader, despite having a lab table, isn't really that baren as compared to the others as the lab table is small and off to the side, with a focus more so on the techprint readers. I do have some plans perhaps in the future to add a few more spacer styled console too for those in the late game, but I am currently waiting until VE Megacorp to be released until then before I make design chances and decisions. Perhaps an industrial/spacer hybrid similar to the Trading Expanded Console Retexture mod I have currently.

4. This was sorta made to go alongside the research console in my Rimatomics console modthat ended up morphing into it's own thing.

I would recommend some optimization/performance mods. IIRC theres one that I use that gives a breakdown as to how performance heavy an active mod is. Def would recommend StartupImpact too and the such alongside it. Hope you find what you're looking for.

@Happycam, I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Multi-Analyzer. But I have to figure out which mod is making my game freeze up every 20 minutes, so the props one might have to wait. just wish i knew which one was causing the problem. Lol

Thanks fam! Hope you enjoy em! I couldn’t get the multi-analyzer retexture done last night, so I’ll have that out today. Sadly Oskar retextured it differently than the ones he made for his Variations mod, so imma fix that so they all fit together alongside my rimatomics mod.

Also going to add screenshots of the mod with VE Props used alongside it, highly recommend placing props on top of the lab tables in this mod. Great for roleplay and making them feel more unique.

@spartandued I decided to add variations built into the mod instead of making a separate mod dedicated them. New Variations update has come out now, so hope you enjoy! Preview images above. Decided to make one contain a techprint reader, seemed fitting.

@spartandued BTW, I’m currently working on a mod dedicated to console variations using the VETV framework, so do keep your eyes peeled for that! Plan to make it so all consoles in the game and throughout Vanilla Expanded are consistent, which currently are not.

@spartandued Not familiar with the random textures mod, but if you are talking about Vanilla Textures Expanded - Variations, then yes! I use that mod all the time and have made a mod in the past using that framework. This simply retextures the base game's vanilla hi-tech research bench, so it should still available as long as you dont have another mod that retextures the base game hi-tech research bench, which VTEV does not. Just make sure this is loaded under any other mods that retextures the hi-tech research bench if you don't see it as an option in the variations appearance menu, as mods loaded below usually over-write mods above.

Just yesterday I was seething that I accidentally built a research bench instead of a fabrication bench with my limited resources. This should hopefully help keeping them apart.

Hey everyone! I recently decided that I would not just update my console mods to include the 1.5 tag, but also fix this visual glitch I have been noticing, and have greatly enhanced the quality of the console appearances. Hope everyone would enjoy the new life given to these consoles.
