@Spuds, it works, just tested. You need to wait 10 seconds though before your other groups get info shared with them. That is on default settings, under "Restart Interval", is set to 10. Reduce it to 3 if you want quicker sharing.

is this compatible with ASR?

Cant tell if im doing something wrong or if a recent game update potentially broke this mod. but i have two squads of independent soldiers patrolling somewhat close to eachother (within 300m). i have this mod enabled and the independent checkbox checked in the addon settings and the ranges are set accordingly. however, if group 1 comes into contact with a hostile group, group 2 just keeps patrolling despite absolutely being within range to know about the hostile group. any thoughts on why this is?

is this compatible with bcombat? Anyone? :D

@MSFMiller
I didn't take headless clients into account during the development. If I figure out how the headless clients work, I'll update it.
MSFMiller 31 Jan, 2024 @ 12:32pm
I should add that I only tested it in Antistasi Ultimate, don't know about the other versions.
MSFMiller 31 Jan, 2024 @ 12:31pm
It seems to be conflicting in some way with Antistasi's headless client system. Turned on the mod and when I check the AI Load info no AI are transferred to the headless clients, but with the mod off they transfer over.

@MSFMiller
Yes it's in seconds. Make sure the automode for that side is enabled.
MSFMiller 24 Jan, 2024 @ 1:56am
I tested it in the virtual arsenal with zeus placed units and it doesn't seem to be working. I assume the delay is in seconds right?

@TakeoverAsh900

Yes, via CBA options, you disable that specific LAMBS feature, and leave this one to get the job properly done

Just check it out on ADD ON OPTIONS menu

@LegendWood

I think I have more to discuss with you about possible improvements...

In order to not fill your comments page with this matter, I've created a new thread, if you don't mind
LegendWood  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 2:26am
@TakeoverAsh900

Yes, they have similar effects.
LegendWood  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 2:22am
@RicGonzalez

Yeah LAMBS has done a great job and I will also integrate some of its features into mine in future updates.
But for the AI behavior after receiving hostile information, I intend not to interfere with it in this mod. Instead I prefer the mission makers to decide.
Some AI squads can be enabled to pursue enemies automatically using the EP mod, while others should stick with their waypoints otherwise things would become out of control.
TakeoverAsh900 21 Jan, 2024 @ 1:27am
dose that mean that you can disable lambs info sharing in settings and use this?
R. Gonzalez 20 Jan, 2024 @ 11:35pm
@LegendWood

I've just checked LAMBS, and although it may seem to give a more complete feature, the fact that the info sharing makes all other aware groups set to Combat mode, they will just hit the dirt, even if miles from the known threat, and not moving towards it... Making their knowledge useless!

Your mod seems to better manage it all, making groups that has the info move or better engage the threat!

If you could still be emplementing things like "has radio" for the leader.and such, yours would be much more usable!
R. Gonzalez 20 Jan, 2024 @ 11:05pm
Wow..! Thnks for such detailed infos!
LegendWood  [author] 20 Jan, 2024 @ 10:02pm
[*]LAMBS shares info with nearby groups whose side is friendly to the sharer side. VIS and EIS shares info with groups whose side is identical to the sharer side.

[*]LAMBS enable units who has a radio to share/receive info at longer distance. VIS doesn't distinguish units with/without a radio.

[*]LAMBS disallows units who has ACE-surrendered or has been ACE-handcuffed to send information. VIS and EIS don't consider these ACE features.

[*]LAMBS will set receiver groups who are within some distance to Combat mode. EIS and VIS don't fiddle with AI behaviors.

As for NR6 HAL, you guys can figure it out cuz I didn't find its github repository.
LegendWood  [author] 20 Jan, 2024 @ 10:01pm
@RicGonzalez and @TakeoverAsh900

I didn't find the documentation concerning the details of info sharing in LAMBS, so I looked into the code on github and also did an experiment. And I found some differences:

[*]LAMBS implements sharing among AI leader groups. VIS and EIS also enable player leader groups to send and receive information.

[*]With LAMBS, a group shares info with nearby groups whose leader is within the range. With VIS, a group shares info with nearby groups who has any member within the range.

@LegendWood my friend,

Can you tell what your mods differs from LAMBS` info sharing feature?
TakeoverAsh900 19 Jan, 2024 @ 2:03pm
the question would be whats the difference with NR6 HAL and lambs witch i believe do there own info sharing to some extent
LegendWood  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 7:58am
@GDKrodericcio
It should. I haven't tried out the NH6 HAL, but since this mod doesn't fiddle with ai behavior, it should be compatible.
Bungolite 19 Jan, 2024 @ 7:27am
is this mod compatible with NR6 HAL?
LegendWood  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 4:52am
@Stapp
Are you sure the mod is loaded? Is it in the addon list in the game?
Stapp 19 Jan, 2024 @ 4:12am
I tried that as well, with no luck.
Not sure how to reproduce or provide extended logging to help support this bug report - it's just that the VIS menu isn't in the CBA addon settings drop-down list.
I checked my .RPT as well and there are no error references to the mod, just that it was loaded.
LegendWood  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 6:41pm
@Stapp

I created a new user in the game and still saw the addon options in a mission.
Stapp 18 Jan, 2024 @ 12:23pm
Hello - I'm not able to find the addon settings for this mod in the CBA menu. I tried removing all mods other than CBA and VIS, and the VIS settings still don't appear.

Is this unique to me or are others having this issue too?
LegendWood  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 5:38am
@Jack Lyme
I published some updates, which revoked restrictions on player leader sending information, ensuring info transmission at the cost of more server-client data exchanges.
LegendWood  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 5:00am
@Jack Lyme
Is it in singleplayer or multiplayer?
Who is sending info, player leader or AI leader?
Jack Lyme 17 Jan, 2024 @ 4:28am
EIS seems to work for me, but VIS does not. No matter how much I tinker the settings, units do not share information.
LegendWood  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 8:06am
In most singleplayer missions, EIS and VIS have similar effects, if you don't look into details.
LegendWood  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 5:34am
@BlackKnight
VIS: share with nearby squads only.
EIS: share with any groups you specify, ignoring distance limit.

I would recommend VIS for singleplayer if you are not a mission editor.
BlackKnight 16 Jan, 2024 @ 4:08am
Hello, I'm still not very clear about the difference between Vicinity InfoShare and Effective InfoShare. Should I use both of them or just need 1 of them is ok for playing single player scenario and campaign?
