I like La Reina, but I would of LOVED to see this guy in Rivals 2. His funny rock is a lot of fun to fight with. :)

I keep getting this bug where when the CPU is set to play Arcuin and I hit him the game crashes. Idk what it is exactly, but I tried it with three different main cast characters and each time as soon as I landed a hit the game immediately crashed. Love the character, hopefully this gets fixed?

I love Arcuin so much. Great sprites and animation, fantastic custom sounds, and top-notch game feel. Hitting things with this guy makes my brain very happy. Thank you for blessing the world with this beautiful hammer penguin.

I love this character. The animations have character, The mechanics are cool, and I LOVE the chain mechanic so much. the only thing i would complain about would be neutral special. I also love penguins a ton so this is basically my dream character.

Also i do think aerial down special needs a hitbox tho, feels weird not having a hitbox when using it.

Really fun character with a cool mechanic.
Tho i there are some minor aspects that i dont like that much.
I think side special (and held up special's chain) should be able to be angled more, up strong getting just a little more range.
Nspecial feels very situational and doesnt have many uses tbh, i think it could be turned into a chain pull whose strength changes on how long you hold nspecial (pulling an ice boulder in the air could hit you allowing you to recover with self damage), pressing special again as it pulls could release the chains like nspecial does atm. :steamhappy:

I was also thinking about how his neutral b could be changed, and I was thinking how cool it would be if he threw his hammer, maybe like simon/richter or have its own trajectory like a spear or boomerang, and then you would use the original neutral b to pull it back like Thor. he wouldn't be able to attack besides fmash, ftilt, and dtilt when its gone. Or maybe he still has access to his entire kit, but by swinging chains instead, so his moves are a bit faster but do less damage. And he could also pull the hammer back with his chains. maybe those attacks would have a little metal ball on the end so that it doesn't chain you. Just an idea, but you did a fantastic job with this character.

This character is incredible. I love how he drags his hammer while walking, such a nice touch. His aerials are some of the best i've ever seen and i LOVE his chain mechanic. I do feel like he has the worst recovery out of the main cast and some of the other contest characters. The chain feels almost worse to use when recovering because of the free fall lockout.

I do wish he could get a more dynamic dtilt, as I feel it falls flat compared to the rest of his greatness. since he's a penguin he slides on his belly instead. I also think if he could angle his chain just a bit more it would help a lot movement-wise.

i agree with others Nspecial is the only move that should probably get changed, feels kinda pointless as chains get used like 2s or less after they are set up.

If you are having issues with alts, there is a bug going around where your last installed character will have issues with alts. Installing a new character should fix this, hopefully...

Or you could just make it when he does use it with no chains attached, he changes the property of it. Like if he attaches the next chain on hit and if you hit them beyond a certain point, you are instead pulled to them, which you could follow up with a hit. Kind of like when the chain attaches to the ground, you are pulled along until you reach the point it is attached to. This could also work with the rock too, making it like the rock has a rubber band effect when you drag it around yourself with the chain. The rock would then be pulled towards the enemy , and smack them as they put too much strain on the chain, causing it to backlash. So then nspecial would be a way to turn this property on or off, with no chains attached.

Why not just reuse the explosion for the rock? You know how like the rock explodes when you retract the chain from it? That way they can't just smack the rock to detach it, and would have to be careful as you could just explode it on command with nspecial.
Or you could make it increase his chain ability for the next use, Whether it's increased damage or just longer reach, but that be kind of simple.

Thanks for creating Arcuin, he looks great and I love the weight of the hammer is so satisfying. His aerials feel so nice and chaining an enemy to ping pong them back and forth is so good.

I agree with some of the others that neutral special feels like it has little impact. I haven't ever seen the need to un-attach the chain as it's usually lost on hit pretty quickly. I was wondering if moving the chain to neutral special as a 360 degree around the character, or 8 way directional chain could work. Down special could be dedicated to just the boulder, and it would mean creating a new forward special to enhance the gameplay.

Also would there be a way of making hammer attacks move the boulder the most, as some moves like upstrong and downstrong look like they should have enough weight behind them to move the boulder.

I have been having an absolute blast playing this heavy hitting penguin, and congrats on the release. :steamthumbsup:

Thank you so much, yeah im not sure what he was on about with that, trying to put down other creators aswell as take a shot at my own work.

Regardless, I completely agree with you on nspecial after some recent testing, I'll look into it and if you have any ideas let me know :steamthumbsup:

I think increase down strong hitbox with covering the backside would be fine, but when I meant area, I didn't mean like increase the range or the width i meant like the backside of Upstrong has no hitbox, even though the swing from the back to the front, so it would only hit from the back if you are dead close but if unchanged it still be fine, it just a nitpick, otherwise great character and I'm already more than happy. Plus i think it would be interesting how abyss runes would work. But besides that, 10/10 from a fellow penguin enjoyer.

The guy look REALLY ugly but he is a lot better designed then the other characters here and is pretty fun. The rock and hook and a good amount of depth and player expression. I would be pretty happy and maybe even secondary main this character if it got added. Amazing work from shrUg (the guy look hilariously ugly tho).:cupup: 9/10 (can not stress this enough: rlly fun to play, amazing work)

Taunt was not meant to have a hitbox, lol, forgot to remove it. Dspecial has a hitbox now, but i dont think im going to be making changes to ustrong or dstrong just yet. I might make it so Dstrong hits behind the player, but ustrong getting more range might be scary since its already strong and covers the space around him.
