I do feel like this mod is Overpower (a whooping 2800), would be good to make variant's or to tune it down but I can't get mad at this mod!!!. :steamhappy:

OMG THANK YOUUUUUU SO MUCHHHH. I really hate/wastepacks system and I needed something simple to get rid of it. There is "the recycle mod", but it doesn't outright ELIMINATE wastepacks as a whole.....I DON'T want a super complicated system. I WANT to get rid of waste!.

Again, thank you so much for making this mod (I know I'm 50 year's late and my english is trash).

Mini update. Explosive version now releases tox-gas instead of fire. (Does not pollute, yet. Once I figured how it will :P)

I've used it myself to burn peoples bases to the ground. Thinking about perhaps making different versions to aline with Recycling expanded.

It's by damaging it.
They do get quite hot though.

@dpeterz : the downside is that they just randomly explode. not from damage or anything, they just randomly explode. lost 3 slaves because of it.

I think there should be different sizes, whit different output (and consequences). There are many place on the rim, were such reactor would be perfect!

Yeah actually. I had not tested the amount of heat it produces yet! Completely forgot, but im glad there is a use for all that heat. If you peeps can let me know if its too much heat it pushes I can always do some tweaking <3 Im also looking into giving this building some coding for like pollution or something else it will emit after exploding. Most updates can be viewed on my discord whenever I'm working on it.

The original intention with this was that there is a sort of cost for using these, which at first is the heat. Though when using it that way you need to create wastepacks somehow so it balances out nicely. If you have any ideas, even for other mods lemme know on the discord :D

Emitting heat is a plus for extreme ice sheet. It could cut overall power usage for heat generation.

It is also not bad for pre-heating walk-in-humanoid-self-cook oven (Aka,heat corridor trap). :P

Anything can be useful if you are creative enough :D

Since this is super powerful due to the complete nullification of waste pack disposal, I think the explosive power of this should not only be increased but also dump a scaling amount of pollution directly underneath the explosion so the waste pack's ill effects aren't deleted. This doesn't matter much however if you store these in places they'd never get broken in, so I think forcing them to either emit heat so they can't just be shoved in a square of plasteel walls will just incinerate itself.

This kaboomability is seriously useful as IED for base defend than power source if you can bait raider to hit it.
Recycling is just a bonus.

Basically the more you fuel it the bigger the flame explosion is when raiders attack it. Each attack has a chance to make it go boom, a high chance :P. Once it explodes it leaves a firey trail of destruction. (I've set half my map on fire with 2 of these fully fueled, could barely contain the fire)
I didnt opt for yet another pollution explosion since well, that's a bit boring.

I'm looking into creating additional effects but to be honest I kinda wanted to keep it simple. Adding code to stuff just makes things break easily though the idea to FILTER it into clean energy does sound intriguing :o, some even suggested making a pipe system for such.

wait so, does the kaboom ability happen at random when it maxed out on fuel?
for not so explosive version imo, u could do smth like a toxic wastepack filter that would require power to filter it into clean/ non kaboom version that transferred using pipe system atleast for a more balanced idea!

Instead of a power plant that is very explosive... how about a version of this that is "safe", aside from the fact that it creates toxic fallout, quickly turning the whole map area into a toxic wasteland and exacerbates any existing toxic problems, maybe even warming up the area?

Yeah. Went through the workshop for a bit, most just add a generator thats refuelable by packs and nothing else. But I thought, know-- it needs SOME sort of caviot to it. Thinking about also adding a non-explosive version for those that just wanna cheat.

I think for the power it puts out, and the fact it'll probably make the already broken toxifier generator+pollution pump combo even more broken, it having a chance of exploding is perfectly balanced.
