Hello Zay. First of all, thank you for all the hard work you put into making these mods. It is appreciated from a fellow Bretonnian. You are doing the Lady's work :)

As for feedback: The Warhammer novel Knight-Errant features Bretonnia going on a campaign against the beastmen, and at the third (i think) battle the Duke in charge of the army asks the knights-errant to give their mounts to the more senior knights as a lot of steeds were lost in the previous battles. The knights-errant are then asked to bolster the depleted infantry (peasant) ranks. They do so (very reluctantly) and fight with sword and shield.

I think bretonnia could really use dismounted sword/shield wielding knights-errant unit rather than a unit that is a upgraded foot squire unit in both function and visuals. And as the novels indicate, knights-errants are more likely to be asked to fight on foot than the KotR.

will you created a sword and shield variant of these guys? The great weapons are great but I would love to see the classic sword n shield variant as well :)

Love it but wish they had full plate armor in their arms, hands and legs like the mounted knights of the realm.

Other modders are making axe variant foot knights, like enotwasabi. Im playing it safe.

Ah, just what I was looking for! As for including axes, I'm sure someone could add a variety graphic pack to pepper them into the unit if they really wanted to. Will there be a sword/board foot knight in the future? Maybe squire longbows? Either way, thank you so much!

Amazing looking units, i only use them as front line from now on. But it's lacking submod for Blessing of the lady, while all the other units from Overhaul got them

I agree on the sword and shield variant. Would help differentiate them from the foot squires too.

Need sword and shield variant :D
Jason Wolf 26 Jan, 2024 @ 11:25am
Okay. Thank you.

Nope! This is standalone, no overhaul required.
Jason Wolf 26 Jan, 2024 @ 11:19am
Do I need your overhaul mod for this to work?

Based.
Now I also wonder what Brets will get more in TOW.
Hoping at one point for Giant Snails manned by Peasants.

No not at all! It was nice that you wanted to know and it gave me a chance to explain my thoughts.
Stay curious :luv:
flyboy254 25 Jan, 2024 @ 4:50pm
It does, sorry if that came off rude, just curious!

The first one being that the barracks is implied to be for peasants, it also has been buffed in my overhaul mod. The more appropriate place to put them was the stables chain since that's where knight units are trained, but that's clearly for cavalry units and it didn't feel right putting an infantry unit in the stables.
Secondly, balance reasons. Bretonnia should have weak infantry right? These aren't a weak unit, at least by Bretonnian standards, but at least with the barracks chain that's a very effective use of buildings slots since its unlocking lots of units rather than just one. So the clear offset here is do you want this one specific unit or do you want lots of cheaper units. I liked that a lot more than adding a fifth tier to the barracks or tacking it onto the fourth tier where the squires are trained.
I hope that helps you understand my thinking!

I'm curious, why the decision to make a separate building for them rather than use the infantry chain?
Zaylidin  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 11:01am
Thanks! I wanted it to be optional and not bundled with any other units

Simple easy mod, i like it.
Zaylidin  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 9:49am
Hehe, glad I provided what you were looking for!
blake 23 Jan, 2024 @ 7:45am
Literally was just looking for something like this to fit the Lily suite. And it is delivered!
Dead Baron 22 Jan, 2024 @ 8:27am
Also she can't copy Old World exactly cuz stupid CA/GW reasons
Zaylidin  [author] 22 Jan, 2024 @ 8:01am
I don't think there's a model that quite fits that look in TW as far as I know, plus I prefer the greatswords over the axes, but hey that's just me.
Renan 22 Jan, 2024 @ 7:57am
Now if these boys were carrying battle axes like in the new tabletop models... that would be impressive :D
