The normal shotgun was exactly that before I made the final change, as it wasn't that fun to use during gameplay. I found myself switching to another weapon, mostly the magnum when upclose, as with the normal shotgun if you'd miss, you had to wait a good chunk 'o time for the cock animation to finish before you could fire again.

Meanwhile with the new change, I tend to always prioritize switching to the double barrel, even if you miss the first shot with it, you got another one all ready to ruin the day of whoever you're pointing the shotgun at (if you miss the 2nd shot too, that's on you).

And y'know... double barrels are punchy 'n all that jazz

This pack is awesome, Coffee man. I love every inch of it! It reminds me of classic SWEP packs from back in the day. I am rooting for a boltie rifle in the game, something surplus like a Mauser or a Carcano. Heck, a Krag, my favorite rifle of all time, would be good, but i think Carcano would fit the theme for Mafia Set for... obvious reasons. Waddaya thing, coffe mug man? ;) Anyways, keep it up! :steamthumbsup:

Mafia and Special Set were mostly bonus-styled weapons that I messed around with, way less development time went in those than the main Action Set. They can be used to do "Alternative Runs" here 'n then, say for example you beat a map with the Action Set, now you can retry it with the Mafia Set or even beat that sucker with Chinlong's Handgun only. I doubt I'll add anything in those sets.

If there's any content that might get added, it will be in the Action Set. But I'm such a sucker for perfection when it comes to weapon balancing, adding even one new weapon can take a long time as I have to keep tweaking it's gameplay characteristics to make it unique, and then there's the animations, the sound effects, the viewmodels and whatnot.

Everything's gotta be balanced and have it's use for certain situations, but they also gotta be punchy, visually appealing and fun :steamhappy: I dislike clutter by having 2 guns that function very similarly and are essentially "reskins" of each other.

The auto-shotgun could still have rather wide spread, but have less pellets than the double barreled shotgun and feed from a 5 shell capacity.

That's good thinking, and I've already got CSS' XM1014 to fill that gap, but what's got me thinkin' is balancing it...

The double barrel shotgun is balanced even though it one-shots most enemies upclose due to how limited it's ammo is, meaning you can't spam it, but an auto shotgun one-shotting enemies up close would render most other weapons obsolete.

What I've wanted to add is a single-use ROCKIT LAWNCHAIR , sorta as a special weapon that enemies occasionally drop. It would use a LAW model, but I still haven't sorted out all the details with that one...

I dont know if this is a bug or its some sort of malicious thing but these guns are broken and when i shoot i get flashed multiple times which could possibly trigger epilepsy in some people. I honestly know nothing about if this is a bug or something "intentional" but very likely no.

I've removed the Beretta assets from this public release and replaced them with another version I used to use. I wish we could've settled it with a credits change, as I never had any ill intentions to begin with, I just liked how your model was animated and reworked it into a more "arcade" weapon.

On the bright side, the addon's size went down from 500-ish MBs to just 307 MBs 😀
