They were indeed supposed to have shields. Good catch! Fixed it here and for MA version as well.

Are the squirrel riders suppose to have shields? The sprite seems to include them as does the infantry units expect the riders do not have shields

Wandering through your mods and noting apparent errors
For Glittergem
-Squirel Knights don't seem to take the value of the squirrel into gold cost
-Giant Falcons don't have sacred, despite only being ridden by sacreds
-Gnome Miners might want Cave Mining
