Does this work with 1.9?

Does the AI US set interests outside of the Americas ever? Because this mod event triggered on British aggression on Jahore in the Indonesia region.
Rodmuth 20 May @ 1:49am
The Monroe doctrine was enforced by the British, not Americans. The Americans couldn't fight the French until decades after the doctrine was declared, but it benefited the British because the doctrine states that current colonies were the only European colonies allowed. The British had a few really good ones, the french and Spanish had just lost practically their entire empires, including in both cases huge landmasses in the Americas. Therefore, the treaty benefited Britain, which also happens to be the only country able to enforce it.

this should be in vanilla, i think european powers just snatching up south american countries willy nilly as if it were nothing and the usa practically never doing anything to oppose them is ahistorical and ridiculous

Can this mod be installed mid game?
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 11 Jul, 2024 @ 1:45pm
@Homerunner That’s not intended, I’ll look into it
Homerunner 9 Jul, 2024 @ 2:01pm
The Monroe Doctrine is currently invoked in revolts against already existing european colonies such as Canada. Is this WAD?

Thank you for your work.
Is there any chance you write more lightweight mods that let's the game start with more historical diplomacy?
historysteve 29 Jun, 2024 @ 6:22pm
does this mod do anything about GB adding central american nations to the british empire power bloc?
zzzptm 27 Jun, 2024 @ 5:28pm
After the update, it is working perfectly, thank you so much!
zzzptm 27 Jun, 2024 @ 8:32am
Currently in 1.7, it will get the USA to join the target nation side and add a humiliate war goal for the USA and the aggressor nation. No option to back down. I do hope this mod (and others from you, Kate the Sybyl) can be updated for 1.7, thanks for the fun I've had thus far and hoping for more!

请问你可以制作一个召唤盟友加入战争的MOD吗?每次我支持别人的战争,我的附庸国都不会参战

Works great in 1.6.

Oh I see, I'll have to do some testing then, I'm trying to create my own TGR-like mod.
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 23 Feb, 2024 @ 4:46pm
@Mr. President that's a mod conflict issue, which mods are you using?
Mr. Bones 22 Feb, 2024 @ 5:05pm
Both this mod and the Pax Britannica mod have a bug where an event pops up in the capital of the United States (for Monroe Doctrine) and London (for Pax Britannica) which has no title, description, image or expiration. It just sits there forever.
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 22 Feb, 2024 @ 1:59am
@Quilaarq Should be fixed

@Preston What bug are you getting? Sorry I've only just been able to update it
Quilaarq 16 Feb, 2024 @ 10:54am
Press 1 Feb, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Anyone know how to fix the event spam bug?
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 31 Jan, 2024 @ 9:02am
@EinZwei Try it now, made a compatibility update
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 28 Jan, 2024 @ 11:38am
@Handonmyballs Barca I'm currently working on a mod to go hand in hand with this where Britain enforces the Pax Britannica, and that will include them helping out with the Monroe Doctrine, as they did historically
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 28 Jan, 2024 @ 11:36am
@EinZwei Perfectly fine on my end. Somehow your event file is messed up. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to redownload the mod. Could also be another mod conflicting with some empty event called monroe_doctrine_events.0
EinZwei 28 Jan, 2024 @ 9:20am
Has an error in the beginning with an event with no time limit, decisions, text, or art; unfortunately makes it annoying to play with as you can't get rid of it :(
Handonmyballs Barca 28 Jan, 2024 @ 4:03am
Like the idea but I think there should be a delay until the 1870s, or at least until after the US civil war. Itd give the americans time to build up and match the European powers. On top of this it be in keeping with history, the doctrine wasnt really enforced by the US with the Royal Navy doing a fair amount of the heavy lifting until the late 1800s.
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 26 Jan, 2024 @ 8:35am
@zzzptm It's a white peace, no goals are enforced and both sides get a 1 year truce. I might change this at some point but tbh I don't really like the way the vanilla diplo plays work with being unable to back down without conceding to something
zzzptm 26 Jan, 2024 @ 7:52am
Question - does backing down in the play with US Monroe Doctrine involved lead to enforcement of goals against the aggressor, or does it simply cancel the play and leave things status quo?
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 26 Jan, 2024 @ 7:06am
Should be fixed now
Kate the Sibyl  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 11:10pm
@theanswerisme It's on my list of additions, this is just the barebones concept that satisfies the condition of the US actually caring about colonisation of the Americas
theanswerisme 25 Jan, 2024 @ 9:43pm
There should be an exception for during the U.S civil war. France literally invaded Mexico.
zzzptm 25 Jan, 2024 @ 5:13am
Eager to try this on my next play-through, as I've recently taken over Cuba and Venezuela as Germany... NEXT TIME, for sure!
