Seems to crash the game with the Araby submod as of date posted, certain lines cut off and results in crashes with some voicelines. Notably the magician caster lord in my case. No crashes related to character selection with the mod disabled.

@Pear I also compared WH2 and WH3 just now, and the menu music is fine—it previously seemed like some parts were missing, and that impression stuck in my memory.

Regarding WH1's music, I meant that, for example, when starting as Markus Wulfhart in WH2, we get music from WH1, which closely resembles this track https://youtu.be/hwc1-qpmZ38?si=yGJWdHBgqe6uoCvq . In WH3, a similar but not identical track might play in the same campaign, and it's not always the same.

If I understand correctly, the developers of WH3 created a lot of new music and added it to the rotation of track playback. The music from WH1 carried over into WH2, for which they only created new music for the new races (Skaven, Elves, etc.), but in WH3, they took a different approach.

I hope you understand what I mean.

@< blank > I've just checked in WH2, and the DLCs backgrounds in the main menu have the same music as they do in WH3. Changing the background in WH3 also does change the music. I've not got WH1 installed to test but what do you think is missing from that?

There’s a wiki page blank. Or you can go to the modding den discord. Although sound modeling is a pretty new thing that not many people know how to do to my knowledge there’s around four or five of us that know how so if you want to learn the ropes of specifically that you might be better off waiting for the YouTube guide we will make when the new tool for asset editor launches

@Pear Where can I find information about modding TTW3? Is there a PDF or any general introductory information about the tools? I know nothing about it. For example, The Witcher 3 has an introductory guide to modding.

@BasedMemes m8 the reason why people are telling you to update the mod is because when they launch the game they see this yellow exclamation mark icon next to your mod, if you have any influence over this symbol, fixing it will clear up all confusion.

Is it still impossible to bring back the music from WH1 in 2025? What’s the current situation?

Besides that, WH3 not only lacks music from the previous games, but something else that few people notice—the main menu music is broken. In WH2, each DLC had a unique theme in the main menu, but in WH3, changing the background in the main menu doesn’t change the music. people paid for this.

The mod was not updated because of anyone’s instance. I added audio for a mod that hasn’t released yet so that when it does release it’ll work day one with no fuss from the mixer.

The thing with modding is anything is possible. It just depends on how much work a person is willing to throw at it. I personally won’t touch music with a ten foot pole unless it’s for like COU, Nippon, Hung, or any other project I’m personally involved with. Especially vanilla music for a vanilla culture. I just lack any passion to drive the amount of work it would take. But that doesn’t mean someone else won’t want to.

I've seen you just updated the mod after people insisted so much, lol anyway, do you think it's possible to substitute the soundtrack? I bet many people miss the old Warriors of Chaos music, to hear Daemons of Chaos music playing as Norsca just feels wrong

Update what exactly? I don’t know how many times we have to keep repeating that this doesn’t have any database or script that will cause a crash. If you’re getting a crash it’s someone else’s mod, narrow down which mod causes the crash and go over to their page and talk to them.

For those waiting, unsub from this mod. That simple. It is in "movie" format meaning it doesnt require selecting when present to attempt to load. OR, open in Pack File Manager and convert from movie format to stop it from loading until it is updated. Mods work fine without this, you only miss a few voice lines.

I have to say that the bug it causes because of being out of date is hilarious. It gives a bunch of lords the goblin voice in the diplomacy screen. Great stuff. Looking forward to the update most awesome one. Thank you guys <3

We are working on an update guys. CA added some new state groups to Battle VO which was fixed and is integrated into the audio dev pack. But the live pack here has to also account for the slew of new campaign VO events that were added (roughly 20-30 in total) so it will take time to integrate these into our projects and also implement them in how we merge our events with vanilla events. Probably will be a few more days. We appreciate your patience.

I just wanted to make a little tweak to specific voices in the game, not making new ones but like pitch shifting or slightly editing the sound of some of them. Is this framework where'd I'd start? I'm a bit lost. Also the template link is a 404

Do you know where the file/settings are which turn off battle sounds and voices in slow or fast mode? I really want them on, and I don't care if it sounds weird

For anyone who's experiencing bugs with audio playing for modded or vanilla audio we're in the process of updating it and have run into a couple of issues due to some new audio CA added in the update. Hope to have a fix this weekend. Cheers :)

Honestly after playing for 30+ turns i can safely say that this makes Albion unique.
They function a lot like wood elves in terms of units with a mix of high resistance tanks and low armour damage dealers.
With the custom audio it feels like a legitimate dlc.
Sadly the murder queen got murdered early so i won't get to hear her in my campaign :c
