@superosh lol I accidentally removed that when I was fixing the cooling and never returned it :S I will add it back later today
superosh 2 Feb, 2024 @ 6:15am
Much better cooling now. I wish they would remove the port restrictions, which does not allow any proper sea-water-cooling now.
However, in my case the engine never stopped after switching off the key. The engine was silently running at 4-5 rps all the time.
I solved this with 2 numerical switch-boxes inisde the ECU.
I put them at the very end of the logic to AIR and FUEL/Throttle.

The On-value comes from the ECU, and the OFF value just sends "0" to both throttle-settings.
I connected the on-value to the key, switch. Now the engine stops as soon as the key is set to "off".

Thanks so much because I don’t have much experience with the logic in building things in Stormworks

Yay

Finally fixed! :)
Sev097 1 Feb, 2024 @ 4:22pm
id honestly recommend having an override for people that want to play without engine overheating, because it is insanely annoying to have the boat suddenly slow down a fairly large amount while you're trying to get from point a to b.
454SS  [author] 1 Feb, 2024 @ 1:35pm
The 14 knots is the throttle limiter kicking in once the temp hits 100C, I will play with removing the limiter but I do not want it to explode haha
454SS  [author] 1 Feb, 2024 @ 1:32pm
@Matt039 I will dig into this, but try to not use full throttle, it is intended of short bursts of speed for now!
Matt039 1 Feb, 2024 @ 1:09pm
yeah its with the latest update. I don't know if its just me, but i think its the engine temperature or something, when it reaches to 100C on the display, the speed of the boat drops to 14 knots, even on full throttle. It happens when you drive the boat on full throttle for a a few minutes and wait until the number hits to 100C (shows on boat display on the left at the bottom, under the battery %.) Other than that i really have fun fishing with this boat,

@Matt039 Is this with the latest update? I did some fixes yesterday! For now, once you hit good speeds you should throttle down and it won't loose mush speed
Matt039 1 Feb, 2024 @ 3:52am
Amazing boat by the way, but there is one problem, when i use the boat on full throttle for a while i think the engine overheats or something because on the screen it eventually shows 100C and the boat slows down and goes like 8 knots and i have to wait for the number to go lower than 100C to use it a full speed again. i even turn off engine overheating in the custom menu and it still goes to 100C.

@Sev097 This is in the works!
Digitor007 31 Jan, 2024 @ 5:25pm
what is the mother ship button for?
Sev097 31 Jan, 2024 @ 5:25pm
great little ship, fits quite well with the new update, although id have to recommend some improvements to the cooling systems on the engine, or a better warning as to how easy it is for the engine to overheat, because it slows down a TON once it hits 100 degrees and it makes it difficult to do much with it sometimes

how do you put images and stuff in the description??

It will as soon as I get home from work!
Potato Enthusiast 31 Jan, 2024 @ 12:27pm
does this have fishing rods?
454SS  [author] 31 Jan, 2024 @ 12:13pm
@superosh will look into it! I found that you can throttle back after getting up to speed, you bleed off the RPS without loosing speed!
Henri Gray 31 Jan, 2024 @ 12:01pm
It's just look like my boat in real life ! <3
󠁳⁧⁧FekSake 31 Jan, 2024 @ 11:34am
Amazing build but what is the mothership?
superosh 31 Jan, 2024 @ 11:33am
You should revisit the cooling. With such high RPS the engine overheats within a couple of minutes.
Seawater-cooling is broken at the moment caused by the extreme limitation of the ports.

I would suggest:
-proper gearing to reduce the RPS
-colling via heatsink underneath the boat and using impellers for effective flow-rate.
