So i looked into it more and it turns out it was an easy fix. Here is the error log.

Error parsing line: 4, key: FLOOR. no FLOOR named: STONE_SMALL_NORMAL Available: DARK3, DARK2, SAND, MINE_MUD, WOOD, DARK1, STONE_MEDIUM_DARK, DIRT, STONE4, STONE3, STONE2, STONE1, STONE_BRICK, WOOD_SQUARE, NATURE1, NATURE2, MINE, GRASS, STONE_LARGE_DARK, STONE_CROSS,

What i did was just go into the torch .exe and change the stone small normal to stone medium dark and it works properly now.
Im not a modder or coder at all but i assume the backend definitions of the small stone normal was removed in v66. Im very glad the dev error log was so robust it even provided a solution.

Anyways thanks for the mod :)

It's confused that some races like human need so much service costing metal, such as hospitals and bathrooms, even the torches.

i've been really struggling with metal for lights early on, i just wish i could have made this with reduced light range for balance reasons but it wasn't possible

for original torches and this stone torch to exist in a mod - you must start a new save. This is why it overwrites the original torch rather than add a new one. But if anyone wants that mod let me know and i'll make it - just takes more time.
