I've been running into that myself, it's probably a problem with vertices.

Did you recompile it as "half life 2" or garrys mod? I've been finding that the ones that crash my game instantly do not like to compile as an HL2 model because of the vertices limits.

I did all of it and when i select it my game crashes. Any idea what can cause this?

it's actually not too bad overall, you decompile the model with hammer, edit the QC file to change the modelname to correspond to whoever you want to replace, replace the "includemodel" lines with the proper gendered animation mddl's, then compile it for "half life 2"

i just reinstalled the mod and it's working now

also make sure you don't have any conflicting mods

if you're talking about selecting it at the main menu, I have that issue with synergy too where it never shows. but if I select model 7 (rebel or normal) and then go into a game and go 3rd person I can see it

I cannot see it, the model 7 is the default model for me

I just loaded up synergy and checked and yes, it is working.
