I am going to assume that this is now incompatible.

Can you make a version that's compatible with MB+, as that mod added some new terrain types.
macluk 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:09am
Hmmm... were they used in wars in Persian and Indian regions as well? Or was it something else?
macluk 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:07am
Thank you for the new unit :)

@RagistGasMuckeymoo they are not, Lions, Tigers, Panthers etc.. wild cats can't be tamed or trained to fight.
Technically Elephants can't either the difference is the Elephants were used as "run forward and smash people in your way", from what i know they never attack or are violent as a Lion would be to eat you.
A Lion would be like "why go there to attack when you are right here and you are made of food" XD, they did make good animals for gladiator events since they will obviously attack any human they see because again we are big pieces of food.

As for the game i mean i could think about it, there is no unit type for them tho so not sure what would be the point but i will give it some thought.

I dont know if lions are historical but can u add like a special research
Beorhthere Appleby 7 Feb, 2024 @ 11:56pm
it works now!
varrenwayne 7 Feb, 2024 @ 4:27pm
No problem, happy to help. Thanks for the mod!
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 4:04pm
@varrenwayne thx for the images, used two of them.
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 2:54pm
@Beorhthere Appleby it should work now, i changed the names, i guess that might have been the issue, at least it works on my end. Let me know if it works for you now.
Beorhthere Appleby 7 Feb, 2024 @ 1:59pm
Also, the Elephants still won't show up for me when playing as Maghrebi and Berber, but it will let me discover the innovation. I even tried playing the mod alone.
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 11:21am
@varrenwayne sure link it
varrenwayne 7 Feb, 2024 @ 8:17am
I've made some artwork if you'd like to see, and possibly use?
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 7:20am
@Beorhthere Appleby it should unless the mod changes the entire regions names, give it a try, don't think it does why would they change "north africa" or "ethiopia" name right? so i guess it works
Beorhthere Appleby 7 Feb, 2024 @ 7:13am
Does it work with the Fallen Eagle Mod?
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 3:45am
@Beorhthere Appleby i tried it and it works, put my mod under the "Cultural armies redux" and it works.
SkyRipper  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 3:35am
@Ninmah feel free to make an image if you want
Beorhthere Appleby 7 Feb, 2024 @ 1:00am
Nvm, it's legit broken, because you cannot recruit the War Elephants as North African.
Beorhthere Appleby 6 Feb, 2024 @ 11:12pm
Because the Elephant men-at-arms won't show up for me as maghrebi
Beorhthere Appleby 6 Feb, 2024 @ 10:35pm
Does this not work with "Cultural Armies Redux"?
sarfear 6 Feb, 2024 @ 8:25pm
based
SkyRipper  [author] 6 Feb, 2024 @ 5:17pm
@sarfear I have added it to Ethiopia, have fun :)
varrenwayne 6 Feb, 2024 @ 11:39am
@AK @Spaceracer North African Elephants may be extinct, but Africa still has Elephants... you know in the south. It's not that far-fetched to think they brought some from there, all the mod author would have to do is change the description and/or explain the elephants are from southern Africa
Sungseon 6 Feb, 2024 @ 8:09am
they went extinct in the 4th century... but ii guess this is cool alt history
Waruiko 6 Feb, 2024 @ 8:07am
This is interesting enough I'm restarting my Mali grand campaign through HoI4 to work around this
SkyRipper  [author] 3 Feb, 2024 @ 2:36pm
@Spaceracer Event chains give to much work XD, and yeah the Elephants at that point were RIP.

@sarfear could do that, would't be hard, maybe this weak if i have time i will add that to the mod.
Spaceracer 3 Feb, 2024 @ 2:08pm
It would probably be better off as an innovation that can only be unlocked through a rare event chain, since the actual North African Elephants by that point were... you know... dead.
sarfear 3 Feb, 2024 @ 11:28am
This is pretty awesome, any plans on incorporating access for Ethiopia and Nubia? Given they also made extensive use of war elephants and even exported elephants to Numidia and Egypt in the past.
Nickavoidknight 3 Feb, 2024 @ 11:03am
love this mod just wish the maa pictures were abit different
