UPDATE: Fixed the persistence issue! The fix should also fix any saves that got borked by the bug too, so you don't need to start a new game!

@Armedwithpuns Nah I checked, I can replicate the bug. I *think* I have an idea to fix it, but I'm having trouble with it.

I do have your mech pack loaded higher on the list, so maybe it's overriding some important changes?

I really like the idea of this mod, however I tried to manufacture them in the production tab, and then passed a day I now get this error when trying to pass more days or even look at the production tab at all:

I managed to fix the persistence issue! Unfortunately you'll likely need to make a new save in order to actually benefit from it.

@Ghostlemon (cont) If you want to edit where in the tech tree this is in, it's a bit more complicated. Open up Mech Engineer and go to the research panel, and press F6. This opens up the debug interface. For each research, check the small white number in the upper left of each research item, this is the item's research number. Back inside obj_research_panel.lua, you can change the line underneath the comment "set link from other research", specifically the first number inside the bracket. Change this to your desired research item you want this to branch off from, add 1 to that value because of lua weirdness. You can check if your changes worked by reloading the game (make sure your new copy of the mod is loaded).

@Ghostlemon you can! You'll need to go to the folder the mod is located in (it's in the mod description). Make a copy of the mod folder as Mech Engineer overwrites workshop mods on every load, then inside the copy go to the Research folder and open up obj_research_panel.lua. Once you're in, change the entry that's labeled "require days" to the number of your choice.

Nice Mod!

Noticing on save that all my drones get replaced with borg bobs, seems the persistence isn't working?
