Its sort of like a magnet. you put it in the general area where the hitch is supposed to go and it will automatically attach. You need Simfphys trailers and flex for it to work though

Yes, it made the connection sound too. But once i start driving it makes the scraping sound along with the sparks.

The way simfphys works, the trailer technically is its own vehicle but it can't move
To get it to work properly you need simfphys flex so you can connect it to the truck
