ahh ok thank you. i was wondering what i was missing, and the way you describe it, it was skill to make a good microcontroller.

@endeyfire I don't remember specifically how I set it up at this time to give a walk through of that its going on. However when I built the ship I placed the micro-controller for the buttons and dials on that control panel. The micro-controller that sends data from the net is located on I believe the back of the net. If you look at the composite connections it may make sense.

Simply speaking the micro-controller on the net itself reads then sends/recieves data to the connector (in this case electric I believe). Then the data comes out the other connector on the rigging that sends/recieves the data to the micro-controller on the boat itself (on the control panel probably back or floor).

hey so im trying to get data from the net vehicle to my ship itself. im not familiar with data transfer in this game so could you point me to what components i need to setup to get a dial or gauge to read the nets filled amount?

@PinkPopCorn I tested it on new and old save and it still works. You are probably not putting the net low enough in the water. At 10 knots you need the "line Length" over about 10 for it to catch fish. You can find that information and how many fish are in the net at the control panel for the net rigging.

no clue if it works or not im just sailing and nothing happens

@Grevell The recent update changed the mass of hoppers so the net was floating at the surface. I updated it with a few weight blocks on the net so it will fish again. It will get a little floaty above like 10 knots but abit more weight could be added for personal preference.

for some reason, it is not possible to catch fish

1. never start a game with infinite resources. The hopper never empties :| - oops.
2. none of the "vacuums" seem to reach the bin you empty the hopper into on the boat. I might be missing a step

Thanks for the boat, I only found this game a month ago and I'm still learning the game... You can upload the picture if you like it! If I knew I would've make it in 4k :)

Glad you are enjoying it, I am going to put your screenshot on the page. Hopefully that is fine, if not let me know.

I made it... at North Harbor. New career and I made first mission while catching 3 nets of fish :). Thx for the boat, I will provide it now with rescue equipment with the money from first mission and from fish.

Oh, I see, also North harbor has lower dock,, perfect for starting career. I was always started career on the other isle.

@ianmarian Those are good suggestions but the original purpose of this creation was to be an example for anyone having trouble with setting up their net for the Zizo's Trawler Fishing. I wanted to keep the fishing related stuff seperate from the mess of nodes on everything else so I left them outside. Feel free to move those panels to the dashboard if you use the selection tool and cut / paste they will maintain their connections.

I have unloaded this a few time at the large docks although I don't recommend it cause position is difficult. The town Holt or w/e (on middle river of main game island) has a small dock with a fish sell point and a diesel gantry buy point (it is to far for 1 hose though). If you are on the dock looking out by the crane the first mooring post on the left and the 3rd (before the far stairs) mooring post will get you pretty close to lined up, assuming you came from the north inlet.

Because of fish not being everywhere I think it's better to have a net indicator on dashboard, and also control for depth. I thought the mod bugged when after some catch it stopped catching anything, but turning around the ship I found fish again. Also, I don;t know how to unload the fish at docks, all are huge and the boats are small. I did it manually, but lost a lot of time!
