I'm proper stoked to try this out; I don't know if the fancy will take me to play with stained glass soon, just like any of the more niche in-game industries, but if and when it does I'm certain it'll be a blast.

It might be silly to share but I thought it was quite cool and unique.
yes it was, by eatandsqueek i think.
Could you point me to that mod please? Or is it Transparent (Glass) Floors?
thank you for trying, i had a mod a while back that managed to do it. however i dont have any idea as to what he did that would have made it transparent though.
I would really like to make the floor transparent, but after many tries, I wasn't still able to achieve that with the modding options provided within Dwarf Fortress. I have asked on Kitfox Discord about the DF modding channel https://discord.com/channels/329272032778780672/1069640085718450218/1203705956018552902 , but no reply to the issue yet.
I will provide the production details soon. For now, use copper powder or powder gold to create glasses with red colors.
If you find some evidence of another method for creating the red glass, please direct me to it.
If you would like to be able to create any color glass - I may provide an additional mod that will give you ability to remelt green glass into any stained color glass
