@Homerunner I think you need to just replace the text with the Icons?

I looked around and just couldn't make sense of it; if you have a clue, I'd love some help.
Ideally I'd like to replace the text labels on the map (easy part) with your banners (hard part), but since they disappear through the fog of war it becomes really impractical lol

This looks glorious, but is there any way to make the banners show through the fog of war? The port icon already does in vanilla, so it feels like it should be possible..

The names appear to be culture adjective + government type, which sometimes means there are duplicate names displayed for countries that share those two attributes

Foreign capitals will only be shown same as any other thing in the map just by revealing them out of fog of war. So even if you border a nation, if you don't border their capital territory you wont see their nations capital banner.

What is required to show a foreign capital? Even states within diplomatic range doesnt show their banners? :) must they be bordering you?
