i like it, rain looks cool with graphical mods, and adds environment depth to the game

Cool mod. I've been one-shot by a stray falling star a fair few times, and it's equal parts amusing and infuriating. Might I suggest a reduction in damage when they hit the player? Even just nerfing it from a one-shot to an almost-one-shot would be nice. You still get the occasional stupid death to laugh about later, but it feels less unfair.

Also, a big burst of sparkles or something when it hits you/anything with a health bar would be cool, and make it clearer when a falling star is the cause of death.

Another suggestion came to mind lol, maybe there could be Asterite upgrades to some of the craftable weapons? Like one for each tier's melee and gun, such as iron's shortsword and pistol, tungsten's hammer and shotgun, titanium's spear and sniper, and durasteel's broadsword and assault rifle?

I mean, there is a mod that changes acid rain to just halve defense instead of deal damage at least

I should make a mod which makes NPCs immune to acid rain

Turns out, adding acid rain to alien planets is a bit problematic, sure the player can always bring an antidote with them (or if they're lucky, a poison resist augment), but it does unfortunately make monsters/npcs a bit of a joke whenever it rains acid lol

Looking into it further I realize I can't fix the tilling issue without adding a bunch of garbage to the projectiles involved so it will just be reduced freq

Appreciated :steamhappy:

Next update I'll fix the tilling issue and reduce glowing rain frequency.
Aubrey 21 Feb, 2024 @ 6:36pm
Also, sorry to bother again but reinstalling the mod still won't fix the error after it has been uninstalled.
Aubrey 21 Feb, 2024 @ 6:26pm
Please include that uninstalling this mod will cause entering any worlds with star ores to crash

And also could you make them not be able to take away the tilling from soil they land on? It makes it really difficult to farm, also lowering the frequency of the star rain would help too. :HatHealth:

(Consumables such as throwing weapons and buff items would make sense too, considering that this is a renewable resource)

Oooo, nifty! It's nice to have a weather-based ore again since I changed how Impervium is found in my mod lol. Hopefully we'll see more uses for this material soon, a new armor set with some unique properties like some of your other sets would be especially neat! (Maybe a remake of the Maple32 + Black Ice's armor set in regards to its ability, plus its back item too?)
