I guess if what you're being buggered by is a siege or mechanoid cluster? Or if you're playing with a mod that makes you know in advance that a raid is coming, so you can time it.
But yeah I kinda agree it's dumb from a gameplay perspective. Just use the settings to make it immediate lol.

The 2 day thing is to make it more realistic but you can change it to however you want in settings. Even if its (up to) 2 days, it would be helpful for infestations, planned raids, or sieges and its still better then the vanilla option (never).

I haven't really played with this but I'm curious what the use-case is for them to arrive after two days. I mean, it makes sense, but I don't really get what this mod "does" and how you'd use that. I guess maybe if there's a quest where you can have an attack scheduled two days in advance? Does that happen?

sounds like it could work against sieges in combination with the mod that lets you see when raids are approaching forget the name atm.

Do you think that you could add an option to make them spawn instantly , via walking in? I know that's not balanced, but them taking two days arrive is fruitless.

They have one of those in one of the medieval mods I was using. Could make something similar here though

Would be really cool if there was something like Gondor beacons for low-tech colonies :) Otherwise, great mod and I really like balancing delay with more troops.
