Oh, if you take the approach of making each stone ritual a different lvl 8 research path, I recommend not putting any of them in blood as it seems thematic that they are not associated with this.

In terms of overall power it seems higher than a research 8 global but lower than a research 9 global to me.

@ crawlers yes, acquiring all 5 stones and getting a non-dispellable global is very powerful. That's why I'm really trying to figure out a non-OP solution, but that still let's you get them more or less reliably at one point. Guess someone could try and assassinate one of the sankara stones to take it down, but that seems rather difficult.

The power level of acquiring all 5 globals is higher than a 20 gem global and it can't be dispelled so it definitely should not be trivial. If desired, you could make one ritual for each stone and make them all level 8 of different paths, or a single level 9 spell could work.

@crawlers yeah, the stones should be reworked. I think I will implement it via an event chain. They should be difficult to acquire for sure, as if you do it's basically like having a global. That said currently feels a bit too random as you mentioned it. I also think that a lvl 8/9 spell to get the missing stones would also be a good addition, as you mentioned. Will have to sketch this one out a bit more.

Did a quick check, my sp game is on turn 91 and I have the 2 stones from the mine and nothing else. I had luck 2 to start with, later raised to 3 through throne of fortune.

I looked at the .dm file and know how they work. I have acquired every hero and 3 of those deposed lanka heroes except mola ram. I have gotten none of the other 2 stones through event and have completed level 8 of all research and got one level 9 spell while fighting something roughly like a 3v1 vs the ai the entire time. I do not believe the stones are reasonably acquirable with the current implementation (getting all 5 of them once every 10 games or so is not the thing I hoped for).

If mola ram is to be kept with the stone, then convert him from a hero into a unique summon akin to ulm's vampire counts so the rng element is not so severe of needing to potentially wait 100 turns or more.

@crawlers No, it's standard berserk, you get damaged and you go berserk. Regarding the Stones, yeah they are a bit difficult to find. You need to get Mola Ram hero for the third and then rely on luck for the other two. A high-level spell is a good call, so that you do not need to rely on luck as much. Or make the events not luck dependent. Will think about how to implement it but it is a good idea

I hope this is not the automatic berserk that some items give, as this would screw over mages and many thugs/scs.

On a separate note, I found the stones very hard to find. Only those 2 in the capitol can be found with any degree of reliability. Can you add a late game spell to find them? Even if it is level 9, this would be quite an improvement over the current situation.

Blood of kali doesn't seem to make one mindless but rather gives morale 30. Maybe it's a vanilla modding limitation.

@crawlers That is a bug, will get fixed

@Target Practice Sort of. I didn't want the Vampire bats to be the main thing, but more of a surprise unit against unaware enemies. That said maybe it would make more sense just to leave it to the player how many vampire bats they one, and just have them as animals. Will ponder on it for the next release

The vampire bats are relatively cheap and easy to mass, however they're magic beings. The mages are not exactly cheap and the Acolytes have 10 and 20 magic leadership respectively, this makes using vamp bats prohibitively expensive. Is this intentional?

Kryta doll is a glamour item but mentions being empowered by blood.
