i've taken the Scanning Clues Quest and have only done the Floran (mostly by accident), would it still be ok or would it be better with starting over?

@PastelWorks, depends on what stage of the game you will add it. I guess should be safe to add before taking Scanning Clues quests. The mod relates only on quests progression, so if you already finished something it will just skip part of the quests.

hi i finally beat the game with this mod after a whole year since i installed it, oops, anyway this mod is awesome! ty for making it <3 i definitely agree with the recommendation to install ruin overhaul as well cause it was a cakewalk compared to everything else before it LOL

Changed the Eye of Yokar quest to something less tedious. If you already have the old quest active, the new one will not override it sadly. You have to deal with it on your own or cheat the item "eyeofyokar" (it would be still more fair if you would at least craft Ancient Texts)

Regarding the Eye of Yokar, if I recall correctly you should be able to set up a room to spawn a merchant that will sell a random assortment of elder items once you get a crafting station or two set up. I tend to run my base with each crafting area segmented into rooms with colonists to generate resources.

I vaguely remember attempting to hunt down enemies to spawn these items on a playthrough and then realized you can just remove and replace the deed to reset the merchant and what items they sell. Been a while since I ran this mod or Frackin in general, but as I was getting back to give it another go figured this might be relevant in the meantime.

To get the 4 Elder Artifact Materials (including the Crafting Table) for the Eye of Yokar, the easiest way is to hunt a type of monster that spawns in the Shadow Moon, which has a 1/67 chance of dropping. I had to hunt for 6 hours with a 2700% drop rate in Mayhem Mode. All of this happens because the order of the quest prevents you from visiting Delta Freya 2.

@xaq, unfortunately even if I will update the quest to the new version, your current one will remain same. So if you can't deal with it just cheat the item "eyeofyokar"
And it's fine. I really appreciate feedback, and when it is important I change stuff and fix issues to make gameplay more fun.

I am sorry for underestimating your question. Now when you point at this, I see quite an issue about this. Hm. To be honest, initially the quest was different and the item required was different as well... It feels like even the recipe for The Yokka's Eye itself is quite simple in compare, but the table... oh boy~ I see a major issue in this again. Don't misunderstand me. I use my own mod for myself too, but the last patch on the pre-Glitch quest wasn't actually tested and simply replace with a heist to make it "easier" than before.

Thank you for your prompt and intense attention to this matter. As a fellow gamer, I'm glad to have someone like you who has a passion as strong as a hobby. However, in terms of the practical issue, what you've said isn't much help to me. Because, just as I said, it seems that none of you are aware of this problem. It's very easy to obtain Sanity Points. You've already unlocked the recipe for that, but the most difficult part, which is what I wanted to say at the beginning, is the workstation required to craft the Eye of Yoka, the Elder's Table. To obtain this item, you need some drops from Cthulhu - series enemies. And I can hardly imagine these enemies appearing anywhere other than the FU ultimate dungeon. I've checked the wiki and know that they might appear on some planets, but I've searched everywhere and they're very hard to find.

@xaq, Hello. You seems not so familiar with Metaphysics Research tree, which basically requires you to obtain the Madness itself, and some high tier stuff from other research trees, which you certainly could have at the point of reaching this quest. The Yokka's Eye have the easiest recipe in compare, but requires to get to the The Void research stage. To obtain Madness you can visit Atropus planets with or without Crown of the Idiot, which you can buy at the Science Outpost. Another way to get a lot Madness at once is visit "Brine Star" dungeon, reward from which you anyway will need to keep for later. The final Guardian in the dungeon give you a lot of Madness at once.
Personally, it isn't big deal for me, as I am trying to research Metaphysics tree in parallel of normal gameplay to obtain some interesting stuff from there.

I searched through the comments section and I was very puzzled. There was not a single person who was puzzled by the task of Yokka's Eye. It seemed that everyone could easily complete this task. Only I was frustrated by being stuck in this task for about half a month. Maybe I really know very little about Fu. Can someone tell me how to obtain the various ancient text materials needed to make Yokka's Eye before opening the Duke's dungeon? I dare say I have searched for dozens of rare meat sources and dark planets, but there has been no progress

aye, I had to spawn one in and got it first try on the spawned in one. It didn't drop for the ones I found naturally. Is it a 100% chance to drop the miniknogaichip? Or is it chance based?

Ok, I've poked around in the mod unpacked, and I think I know what's going on. And I think all as well.

It looks like the clue mission is now a prereq for FU's Ancient temple mission, which is now a prereq for the "find a FU thing" quest you added. Hopefully I have that right, because I'm plowing ahead with my save anyway lol.

Hey! I've been enjoying the mod (thanks for sharing it), but I'm curious about something: Does this mod remove _all_ clue finding quests, or just some of them?

I ask because I just got the "Find Clues to Locate the Avian Artifact" quests after the library, but I got more "FU resource" related quests for the Floran and Hytol artifacts.

Anyway, if you understand the purpose of the mod, it is a fitting challenge, and I look forward to seeing what harsh future lies ahead. This is the only mod that enhances the main quests immersively without major bugs, so I plan to continue subscribing.

Whether it’s combat or farming, it’s okay if the difficulty is high. However, the progression curve and fun are important. For example, imagine if in Dark Souls, instead of making the first boss’s pattern difficult, the first boss room was locked until you collected 10,000 souls and you had to hunt in the field. You would lose your sense of purpose. But if you could farm souls through the first boss and were then told to collect 10,000 souls to meet the second boss, it would be doable. This is what I want to convey.

I have three solutions in mind to get 100 gold bars:
1. Extract through biological research
2. Collect 40,000 pixels and buy from a geologist
3. Direct mining

And none of these methods have merit.
Because I know that obtaining the Floran artifact and Nuru does not provide a time reward equivalent to 100 gold bars. That's why I used the 40,000 pixels I collected for base construction.

The 100 gold bar mission is not bad. In fact, its bleakness made me enjoy all the other content besides the main quest.

However, my personal suggestion is that the start of the Hylotl mission, when the electronic base is fully constructed due to titanium, would be a good point.

If that's difficult, I hope for sufficient rewards. Because we've already beaten vanilla. The Floran artifact is not an infinity stone that grants immense power. It's just a key... (disappointingly!)

Upon meeting Esther, I heard the absurd request to collect 100 gold bars to find the Floran artifact, and I came to find the culprit who made her a space pirate.

It's been 30 hours since I started the game, and during that time, I have mastered livestock farming, agriculture, and beekeeping, and I own a lava separation plant, making me rich in copper, iron, and tungsten.

Because of Esther's "madness-inducing quest," I wanted to do something else. So, while gathering madness on the nightmare planet Atropos, I picked up 5-tier armor and 8-tier weapons and am now challenging the 7-tier mission of Starforge.

And now, I will start mining titanium in earnest.
Still, I haven't met Nuru yet.

@VELOCIMAXOR, When you say "Fresh save" do you mean you completely removed your Storage folder or cleaned up all Universe Flags?
As you maybe know even if you create a new character, the universe and its flags remains same, and your story stage keeps as well.
Maybe it is the case? For example, are there any other things like story-shops/NPCs which should be usually hidden/locked exists as well?
