@forbidden_butter For progression through the campaign, you don’t need the jeep that is right outside the parking garage in dundas_square_f. When you finish this campaign, I’d recommend that you uninstall it to prevent further conflicts/issues.

For some reason this addon makes it so you cannot turn when driving a jeep. Jalopy is fine but jeep is not manageable.

@GeometeryWarrior Even with these bugs, the campaign should be playable from start to finish, you just have to manually load to the next map. Also, I could learn more on how to use Hammer, if only I wasn’t currently busy with college…

i want to try out this map cause it sounds so interesting but im a lil worried from the colossal amount of warnings and alerts of bugs written in the description and seeing all the hacky work around for it X__X

ive been playing your half life 2 campaign ports for a long time now and they've all been pretty fun !! i hope you learn how to use hammer efficiently someday and just maybe you will be proficient enough to fix these bugs .. and maybe someday you can take off the first warning ^_^

hope to see more lengthy hl2 custom campaigns soon keep up the awesome work !!

@Nick_Dickem I am very sorry to hear about this issue. which, as a publisher of the campaign map that is not mine, I sadly am unable to fix (I mentioned this issue in the description). However, this should not affect gameplay.

The dialogue from the NPC you first meet in the second map is broken

@akeentheguy Did you read the description?

Anyways, the first map, or technically the zeroth map, is d1_trainstation_05_d_start_f, which happens to be a recreation of Gordon's (you) teleportation mishap from "A Red Letter Day". Also, the level transition between the first map and the second map (mel_lastman_square_f) is broken, so you would have to manually load the latter. In addition, the second map is technically the first map, especially if you just want to cut to the chase. In other words, you may start at the second map if you want.

might you know any train battle maps? if i knew how to use hammer, i would invest all my lifetime in making such cause i think they would be so epic...train derailments with explosive barrels and stuff lmao

@driveguy44 This could be fixed by adding these lines of code:
"precache_file" "scripts/sounds/lua.txt"
"precache_file" "scripts/sounds/phx.txt"

below these lines of code:
"precache_file" "scripts/game_sounds.txt"
"precache_file" "scripts/game_sounds_ui.txt"
"precache_file" "scripts/game_sounds_player.txt"

in the game_sounds_manifest.txt file in the script folder inside the mod folder you dropped into the addons folder. This would make the gun sounds work again, but may or may not make custom voices work. However, the workshop does not like this fix to be made for this campaign mod for some reason, just because game_sounds_manifest is a .txt file. Besides, the workshop does not like .txt files to be included in the stuff we upload to the GMOD workshop. This is something that is beyond my control for me to address as a publisher. I apologize for the inconvenience.

there is a solution which is dropping the mod folder into the addons on gmod but that messes up the gun sounds

@driveguy44 This is a problem that is way beyond my knowledge for me to fix, sorry. Besides, this campaign is not mine. However, this should not affect gameplay, specifically the ability for you to complete the map.

Amazing work! It was wonderful to watch my friend in the US get to tour my city and have pix to compare it to. So many great little details. I almost cried when the TTC doors chimed. Plus the addition of the SickKids posters...spent too much time there, nice to see them get shown off, too.

@jangwmpt7 Yeah, I can't stress enough that it could be one of my installed mods/addons that cause the crash despite the fact that I have almost the same modding preferences as you. Hmm, I'm pretty sure that HL2 Animation Fix has to do with this because iirc, that addon crashed my game during transition between ep1_citadel_04 and ep1_c17_00 from Episode 1.

@syahmi2002.sa Hello. To my end, the map transitioned smoothly from the 8th to the 9th map without crashing, so maybe it has something to do with your GMOD application or one of your mods. Besides, I only tested this campaign with MMOD effects, MMOD HL2 weapon replacements, MWB/TFA/TacRP SWEPs, Combine soldier model replacements, VManip addons, HUD addons, and no other mods.

(Cont...) I understand that this issue is beyond your expertise, but I just want to inform others for future playthroughs. In the end, we have to accept the reality that playing HL2 custom campaigns/Source mods in Garry's Mod would be very inconvenient because of potential crashes and broken sequences.

I'm not sure if anybody experience this, but apart from broken maps transitions mentioned in the mod's description, my game crashed during transition between st_michaels_f2_f and st_michaels_f3_f. I'm not at an expert when it comes to .mdmp files but here are the final lines in the console window if you're interested:

@Piengineer12 Hello. Although there is a buggy on the third map, you don’t really need to drive it, as you can just walk to the gate and transition into the fourth map. Also, when you are finished with this campaign, I recommend that you uninstall it in order to avoid further conflicts in GMOD, like I do.

@bobtheman Didn't you read the warnings that I placed in the description? The map transitions between the first and second maps, the second and third maps, and the tenth and eleventh maps is broken, which means that you will have to manually load the next map once you complete the current map you are on. Too bad I don't know how to fix the transitions, considering that I am fairly new in posting HL2 custom campaigns in GMOD, sorry.

@[RocKs³]|Painkiller_Overdose Well, I am very sorry to hear that. Too bad, like I said before, I don’t think it is possible to stuff the materials, models, and sounds within the bsp files. This campaign is meant for single-player only. You could play it in multiplayer, but again, don’t expect it to be perfect.

Didn’t you read the first warning? I said that the NPC’s dialogue is broken, and sadly, I don’t know how to fix this problem. However, this shouldn’t stop you from completing the campaign. Just refer to the walkthrough video I provided.

As I said I can't play it in multiplayer on my hl2dm - coop server because the textures are missing. All materials, models, sounds have to be in the bsp then it would work.

By the way, in my headcanon, an X is placed over North America on the globe, since all contact between Eastern Europe and North America was cut off at some point after the 7 Hour War. I could theorize that North America after the Combine invasion would have been a Xen wildlife-infested wasteland, with its only occupants being a handful of Combine strongholds on a few surviving cities (such as Toronto as this mod depicts) and a handful of, if any, smaller Resistance enclaves that are scattered alongide the Combine strongholds, just like how North America is nothing but an overgrown wasteland with a few surviving authority and survivor strongholds in The Last of Us.
