It needs headwind like the real one. Follow the STARTUP section above.

yea i pushed it out, idk if its not reevving fully or idk how to control it properly because of the mouse system (disabld it on the sscond test)
Thales  [author] 4 Jun, 2024 @ 2:06pm
I now tested it with %50 headwind (20m/s), it works with no issue.
Thales  [author] 4 Jun, 2024 @ 2:01pm
Also it needs to be out of hangar.
Tmccanna 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:30pm
could be the devs broke the physics tbh
Tmccanna 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:30pm
the fan thing shows its blowing headwind
Thales  [author] 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:16pm
Wind direction?
Tmccanna 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:13pm

Tmccanna 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:13pm

This thing sucks! It took me 20 minutes to find the seat for the plane. I tried 5 times to get it to fly, it will not do it. I looked over the controls 3 times and made sure that I was fallowing them. It doesn't work.If it does then its a pain.
Thales  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 1:02pm

JohnnyRanchers 10 Mar, 2024 @ 2:37pm
How do I hand prop it?
Thales  [author] 23 Feb, 2024 @ 5:19am
Jodtheman1,
It requires 50% headwind for takeoff but wind does not work in the hangar, it needs to be outside.
Jodtheman1 22 Feb, 2024 @ 6:14pm
How do you get the plane to stop getting stuck on the little cart on take off?
Thales  [author] 22 Feb, 2024 @ 2:19pm
Vic,
Wright Flyer I took off with 32 km/h headwind not catapult. Since 1904 later models used catapult for the same purpose: to be able to take off on short runway. Because Wrights chose windy beach for flight trials, wheels would not work on soft sand surface. I guess they must have also think about surviving a crash on soft sand instead of hard surface.

Catapult assisted launch since 1904 allowed them to take off without waiting for suitable wind speed and direction.
orion's homuculus 21 Feb, 2024 @ 5:07pm
very well made, it looks great, is extremely smooth and satisfying to fly, easy to take-off in (assuming you followed the guide) and although you can't do any kind of quick maneuver I'm guessing that makes it more realistic lol
Vic 21 Feb, 2024 @ 2:08pm
This creation, in the English dictionary, is more like AIRCRAFT than AIRPLANE. I don't know about you, but I see planes taking off on their own these days, and not using a catapult. The Wright brothers invented a type of glider, the person who actually created the plane was a guy called Dumont
Thales  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 2:14am
Thanks for comments.

50% wind is enough, I even take off with %40.

sharkfam,
Thanks for suggestion bt SR-71 would take too much time to make.
IronChad 20 Feb, 2024 @ 7:44pm
I was legit looking for something like this on the workshop like 2 weeks ago, good job m8!
sharkfam 20 Feb, 2024 @ 5:58pm

Fantastic. Great Work. Make sure to load up "Sogno Di Volare" (Civ 6 theme "The Dream of Flight") before takeoff!
Thales  [author] 18 Feb, 2024 @ 10:19am
Did you follow startup instructions?
mozil.us 18 Feb, 2024 @ 9:40am
I can't figure out how to fly it :(
dantheman28111 18 Feb, 2024 @ 8:32am
Yep, the wind was the wrong direction
dantheman28111 18 Feb, 2024 @ 8:23am
Thales
I may have had the wind blowing the opposite direction. I’ll go retry.

dino_boss777,
There is control handle near the instrument panel and elevator control stick which can be seen in the picture in description above.
Thales  [author] 17 Feb, 2024 @ 10:06pm
sharkfam,
The "runway" rail is only 18 meter. So, it requires headwind to takeoff. But first you need to push it out of the hangar because wind does not affect hangar. Please read the Startup instructions above.
Thales  [author] 17 Feb, 2024 @ 10:04pm
GERUNIMO,
Thanks, I am glad you liked it. Interestingly using 1x1 window components allowed very thin decorative bracing wires.
