If you try to enable it for AI then go to government right after the game crashes for me. BUT if you just exit out of that menu it seems to be fine.

Mod works just fine. Make sure that your your faction is invited to any conflicts you start or are a part of.

Just so everyone knows the military faction functions like a regulaur vassal. If you don't have them set to join overlord wars they will not declare war. But the way the mod is designed you cannot contact them to change the agreement. The best way to get around it is to form a federation.

@Klick sadly the mod doesnt work anymore if i declare war on a enemy my vassal faction wont join anymore

Same Here, totally ignored the enemy fleets and sat at 1 random enemy station system without attacking it ot getting attacked. it appears for some reason the millitary factions no longer join the wars. (happens for Ai to, their millitary factions arent helping them anymore)

the defense fleet arent attacking my enemys and just went past them to go to a certain system and just stayed there and also they wont use the modded portals

@Pawmee I've also noticed that the AI edict is broken at the moment so I'm trying to fix it, the fleet contribution setting being reset might be due to your economy, if you run low on alloys, energy or influence, it'll reset the policy to none.

it looks like the solution is to have the faction country exist before the war is declared. Can just have it set to no funding instead of disbanded. A little bit clunky though, i wonder if it's possible to have the country join existing wars upon creation.

war was declared on me and i made the military faction and set it to offensive, the fleets went to the nearest enemy system and sat there doing nothing. When I used the console to switch to the faction the empire i was at war at was neutral to them.

wow talk about a blast from the past. I used thing thing eons ago. Subscribed.

Was always a fan of the simple yet ingenious fleet control code this thing packed. I have had a lot of fun tinkering using it as inspiration for other personal mods. BTW you can create an event which copies the tech of the empire using it to the created empire every time a research is completed so that the faction can benefit from repeatables, this gives it a little bit of late game scaling.

Ok, I've been using this mod some more and I noticed it has a rather funny reaction when it comes to Federations.

If you allow Vassals, they join and get the perks, this is great for military focused perks as they'll get the bonuses!

But they also get voting power and actively vote for or against votes, I cannot give association status to an empire that my fed buddy wants BECAUSE of the military factions voting AGAINST it.

From what I can tell, this mod pre-dates Federations, so that would explain why it has been completely oversighted, but I'd atleast look into it. I still think they should be able to gain federation perks, but maybe there should be new fed laws to restrict them vetoing votes and stuff like that.

I would reword it like say: "Set AI to off/on" that way it's more obvious if the AI is currently on or not (by default it appears to be off, but the edict says "YES", as in to "turn it on", which is what confused me)

All and all this is a really neat mod, it's not going to win every war and doesn't scale with modded stellaris that much (outside of NSC that is), but as someone who does like to save up his alloys for other uses this is a very nice QoL utility mod, glad the AIs aren't left out of it either.

@RootedSquid So when the faction is enabled for AI the edict will say "For AI: On". I'll reword it to be clearer in the next update.

@Doviena Ah, I'll continue toying with it to see if I can work out why they are doing that!

So, I have a suspicion that it may be being caused by me being at war? Cant really resolve it at the moment for a true test, as its with the Katzen and cannot physically get to them at the moment due to their physical position in the galaxy. But I only noticed the bombing while I was fighting other empires

@Ethan If you don't like the mod, don't use it. It's that simple. However just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad mod. Me and many others have been waiting a long time for this mod to update and while I realize you're most likely trolling, I'm writing this for Klick to see that we greatly appreciate his time and effort.
