I don't know about any compatches for Anbennar.
Did not know that. However this is most likely a minor bug which should not affect gameplay too much.
It will most likely be incompatible with new saves, you have to start a new run.
Thanks
Yes, Gameplay Extension is not compatible with this mod without a compatch.

#investigate making this decay based on percentage (like AT) if feasible
add_army_professionalism = -0.1

I don't know, because I was not looking at the mod and its files for a long time and I just simply forgot.
Despite the warnings in the launcher the mod should be still up to date after loading up in the game.
I am 100% sure that it is a compatibility issue with Ante Bellum. It would require a compatibility patch.
Could this be caused by an issue with Ante Bellum? Or just a load order issue with Naval proffessionalism?
This problem is caused by having incompatible mods enabled. Professional Armies itself disables vanilla army professionalism buffs.
I am sorry for your inconveniences. Unfortunately I do not remember if the army experience should really decay with time or not.
I do not think this mod touches AI behavior regarding condottieri (though I maybe just do not remember how it works). And no, I will not change it, partially because my EU4 interest is recently at zero.
Nope. But you are free to make a compatibility patch.
The only way to do this is by losing a war, in which case you will get a choice to reset your chosen army doctrine, albeit all army XP invested in the previous doctrine will not be regained.
When making the mod, we thought that making temporary bonuses last only a few months would be a too short time frame because it would be very difficult to take advantage of them before they would end.
No, it will require a compatibility patch.
@Pup
You should be able to see a button in the top-left part of the military tab which opens the screen with all of the mod's main features. If you do not see the button, then you have incompatible UI mods enabled.
Maybe. But you are also allowed to create your own compatibility patch if you have enough EU4 modding knowledge.
However, it is not compatible with the Idea Variation mod. Idea Variation adds a development feature, dev points, and uses a Develop Provence toggle to allow dev to be funneled into specific provinces via the province gui. When adding Professional Armies, it changes the gui and mixes around the sizes of the gui, removing the toggle for development.
Will there be a patch for this by chance?
Thank you!
Maybe in the future I will. But it depends on my motivation and interest in EU4 (which recently is fairly low.)
Yes, you can modify the files you mentioned if you want to be able to take more levels of unit professionalism or more army doctrines at once.
The army experience bar should be on the top of the military tab. If you do not see it, then you either have incompatible UI mods enabled, or you lack the Cradle of Civilization DLC.
It is not recommended to play this mod without Cradle of Civilization DLC as the key mod's feature - army XP - replaces army professionalism from the base game and thus needs the DLC. And without army XP, you cannot use most of the mod's features.
In the military tab, hover your mouse over the army XP bar to view your army XP amount.
It is possible. Will do this if I do not forget.
Want to know if theres a really really great bonus in another doctrine y'kno?
