Okay um, I'm actually confused because I got to notice today that the "Rivals 2 Contest" tag kinda dissapeared. Even though I had it activated in config.ini .
I got to try to update the character and it did appear again, so I guess the problem is solved now.

definitely feel for you, sometimes life happens and we miss out on delicate time, but uh, 16th-18th of january is still after the deadline.

The original deadline was the 31st of dec, we got an extension due to holiday to the 14th of january. My condolences regardless.
