If you worry about money, Set up Enterprises on every city possible or farm tournaments.
If you want strong army; Geldar and Elintor for Archer/Horse Archers.
Tolrania and Sut for the best Infantry and Knights. Cretas is also a good choice.
If you want to get an army as FAST as possible, Hire slaves from Ransom Brokers.
They are very fast to level up and decently strong. I think you can hire around 100-200 units.
This happens in other games such as Skyrim Fallout Cyberpunk etc. There is nothing to fix.
Either play on your old save with the old version until you complete the game or update the game and create a new save.
Also for those people who are afraid of grinding their way back into the game, You can use an editing tool called ''MnB Save Editor'' It works perfectly fine with all mods.
You can give yourself Gold, Skill/Attribute, Renown or any troop you want.
The update is absolutely beautiful (I'm being ironic). Yes, it is, if you don't consider that it crashed more in 2 days than the previous version did in 1 year. And no, it's not my PC, it happens on two different computers, one of which is a new gaming PC. Error after error, at some point, probably when you finally completed the battle, the game closes by itself, without a script, an error or whatever. Nothing. I'm forced to save every 5 seconds to play. The previous version, at least, worked.
Fix it, it's absurd.
If you don't Rock and Stone, you ain't comin' home!
Equip them to be good defenders and put them in a garrison and have the constible train them into the higher teirs where they can be cavalry. Lots of throwing weapons with good range, I'd equip them with jardis and long axes and the heaviest armor I can find since they'd not have sheilds.
By the time the enemy reaches the walls with defenders like that plenty of them will be killed and their shields heavily battered to get easily broken by their axes in melee.
Julius Caesar did that once when he desperately needed to intercept invaders from Germanic tribes. He lamented that due to his soldiers terrible riding skills he could only move at a light trot. Obviously arriving earlier would mean a higher chance of victory for varying reasons.
It worked though, he got there in time and didn't march his men into exhaustion in the process.
They were simply mounted infantry who were untrained in horsemanship.
I prefer making my household guards infantry since infantry take some of the highest casualties in battle. Heavy shields, a hand ax, and the other two slots are filled with throwing weapons or a crossbow and amo but keep them labled as infantry and not missile units.
The 100 damage masters crossbow and nobles bolts along with the roman style equipment is a fun combination for your soldiers.
Turn on dynamic horse speed where they slow as they take damage and those guys can be even more useful.
1. Count Calarius Wont stop following me around the map when I refused to join his nation
2. No longer get lady in waiting quests
3. I failed to do the grave robbers quest for a village and cannot finish the quest as the dialogue option is not available for the village elder
4. I keep getting a script error when I camp/rest anywhere outside the city
I suggest stocking up on cavalry mercenaries as often as possible once you've got the funds and stick them in your castle to use to replenish your numbers during particularly nasty wars.
Archery damage might well be OP vs armour, but I suggest that " missile speed "( ie arrow flight through the air ) is a totally different parameter to how rapidly an archer can repeatedly draw and shoot his bow ( " weapon speed " ) and mow down your infantry.
