But If i ever see in the news that some random workshop author who put up a model of a 'mon on the Gmod workshop gets taken to court over it, i won't be surprised. It's actually a bit more surprising they haven't done kind of legal action afaik, either towards an individual or Valve.

Hell, if Big N's suit against Pocket Pair is successful, and depending on how successful if so, i also wouldn't be surprised if i ended up having to remove Anubis here as well. Until the outcome of that is decided, i'm putting anything Palworld related on hold.

Seems like a bit of an overreaction to completely wipe all data of the mods ahead of time just over a "maybe it might happen in the future". Super bummed I won't get to use them for another playthrough.

As far as I'm aware (correct me if you know otherwise, I'm admittedly not fully in the loop) mod authors didn't get penalized at all other than Nintendo related mods being deleted- not to mention they could have been re-uploaded elsewhere. Greninja in particular is one of my favorite mons of all time so losing out on my frog squad sucks.

Oh well. I concur with the message of "Fuck Nintendo" anyways, whether the deletion was warranted or not- and at the end of the day you choose what to do with your work. Hope to see more Pals in the future.

I'm sorry to hear that the Nintendo copyright fiasco with G-mod is effecting some of your mods here for x-com, that sucks! Furry mods are hard to come by so I appreciate all of them.

I completely wiped both of them including their project files and their raw assets, so no, i can't. I'll just do more Pals to compensate, since as far as i'm aware Pocket Pair aren't the corporate psycho types.

Ok this is a very late question, but I'm only just now noticing the takedown of the lucario and greninja mods: Would there be anyway you could temporarily post them somewhere like Nexus Mods so people could have a chance to keep them before you remove them again some time later? You wouldn't need to keep the downloads up forever and I've not heard of nexus being hit by nintendo before (But then again I don't have much experience with nexus beyond Armored Core 6 modding so take that with a huge grain of salt). Just a suggestion, your mods are really well done :D Sorry I didn't know where else to ask this.

Yes, Nintendo's decided they need to take action against the various Nintendo-related things on the GMod workshop (a lot of those things having been up for over a decade), and i figured it was only a matter of time before they came for every workshop, so i took him and Greninja down as a precautionary measure.

If i left them up the most that likely would've happened would be N having Valve take them down on their behalf and probably issue me a C&D order, but since it's nintendo, i did it myself on the off chance they decided to legally castrate me with the sword of damocles because they were feeling particularly psychotic that day.

weird question, what happened to your lucario mod? did you take it down?

This unironically probably fits in more than the Lucario one, mainly because Palworld WAS designed with guns in mind.
