I unzipped unshackle to the mods folder but for some reason it's still asking me to install unshackle 2.4 or higher :'(

big sugestion, any damage on map saves itself within world, so when you destroy anything in world, alt+f4 and join back, the destroyed uh something is still destroyed

in short "permanent changes" option please :3

In some situations or always (not tested), a new game starts as a personal world. If you then create a new world through the menu or list of mods, Noita will launch without mods from the Steam workshop.

When approaching areas where new temples should be located in the air, the game crashes.

After restarting Noita in the first case or crashing in the second case, the entire list of mods is shuffled and disabled.

Good to know. I had that happen last year when reinstalling everything.

Actually what causes the crash is uninstalling a gamemode mod, if it is the last one in the gamemodes list and you have a ongoing run.
This seems to be a noita bug.
You can avoid it by starting a regular run before uninstalling.

What i have done. (Steam / Windows 11 / Regular Noita Version)
After I activated the mod normally via Steam Workshop.
(But didn't want to load anything external) I deactivated it again.

Unfortunately the following problem occurred.
Noita closed after pressing "OK" in the patch notes dialog, without an error message.

If anyone has the same problem, I have found a solution.
1. Change the version to the beta version
2. First activate and then deactivate the mod
3. Change the version back to the normal version.

Then Noita should start normally again.

Hope this helps if anyone has a similar problem.

I have the same problem as le.sir.loxley, is there currently a solution?
Evaisa  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 5:27am
uhh that should not be happening :/

Any instructions how to I unsubscribe from this mod? I am not on beta, and unsubscribing makes the game crash on launch ;(

you'd have to manually calculate the world seed as steam ids are too long to be world seed so i wrap them around the positive 32 bit signed integer limit.
If the seed goes past that it will give you a random seed instead.
anarcher 1 Mar, 2024 @ 8:57pm
Installing unshackle just for this is such a drag. You can achieve the same thing with seed changer mod and manually inputting your steam id, right?

Steamworks is pretty nice to work with, the problem is that Noita does not allow workshop mods to make external calls and stuff.

Would be nice if Steam could manage their own rats and infrastructure instead of relying on modders to clean up dirty leet lines they leave in this platform design deliberately but oh well. Waters always balance eventually. Appreciate the mod

Yes, safe-mode mods do not have the ability to interact with steam api
anarcher 27 Feb, 2024 @ 12:29pm
Why does this require unshackle when the set seed mod doesn't?
Is it the SteamID query?
ChillinLikeAVillain 26 Feb, 2024 @ 3:11pm
huh, neat.
