The map is no longer supported.
Memory usage was dead set at 6.5GB after clearing it up with the MSI app, and walking around in the map once more, so I'm not sure that RAM is the issue.
Vram usage was at a good 10.2GB, that may be the issue other people are having. If I had an 8gb version of the 4060 Ti, I would probably see a significant performance decrease.
This map is insanely intensive and seems like the only way to play it is with brute force specs, My pc just barely meets those requirements in the GPU department.
When you have a good enough GPU, destruction doesn't seem to make it any worse than any other map due to CPU usage not being an issue.
RTX 4060 Ti 16GB VRAM
32GB DDR5 Memory
1080p @60hz with highest settings for test purposes.
So, I'm able to hit 60 FPS, but the problem I seem to find is that the game (for me) only lags when Vsync is disabled, and while facing the buildings. During this time, I was getting 42 FPS while GPU usage was at 63%.
As soon as Vsync is on, it doesnt matter where I look, FPS is at a solid 60.
Low doesnt seem to help at all for me at least. 60fps with Vsync, 42 without.
I always see this with games, where a developer releases a game way to early, the players get a sower taste for it, and once the game is actually good, it doesn't get played by people who played the early access. This map has a lot of potential, but my suggestion, take it off the workshop until its at least at a 1.0 stage. This will ensure that not to many people download the map now and get a sower taste. If you respond to this comment please, just DM me through steam. I won't respond otherwise.
The map is almost unplayable because of the component usage. Even if it was the map was pretty boring. This isn't hate (I looked at the prev comments and you directly called out someone for calling the map bad even though he said that it was just constructive criticism) the map is boring. Usually I don't call maps like this boring, but I can't even do anything without getting less than 1 FPS. I understand the map is still a WIP but this is honestly horrible optimization. You should really focus on that rather than adding more to the map.
So I have the following
Cpu-AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core
Memory-16GIB & 2400 MHz speed
GPU-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
I can easily play GTA 5 at 120 FPS, this map made TD use 8.7GIB of memory. I think you thought that memory meant VRAM but it didn't use much. My power usage for TD was "Very High" when tabbed onto TD. The FPS mod for TD showed less than 30 FPS. The map appeared to be going at maybe 10 FPS though. The map loaded in about a minute.
1)Fixes
2)Added the ability to spawn buildings
