i never knew this existed, props top you for making this amazing mod. you just remove a major problem for this game in my opinion, as i can marry off my vassals children.

-ck3 version update
-added new marriage modifiers
-dont lose legitimacy if tribal or lowborn
-ai will search for bethrotals and spouses slightly later
-ai slightly less inclined to marry off female heirs without matrilineality
-added female fertility up to age 60, large fertility drop off still at 45.
-slightly more chance for male children
-marrying grandkids make alliances
-higher limit threshold for making alliance marriages
-marrying close or extended family to someone creates a truce and increase opinion, in the cases that you lose the alliance

I'm pretty sure that "X is a parent of Y's children" is not the message you wanted to use for all the modifiers you added. It causes extreme confusion and unintentional hilarity when the game tells me that the son of the Byzantine emperor who I want to marry to my daughter is a parent of his father's children.

Yeah even putting it before AGOT, it still messes with the kingsguard and refusing to marry trait. Still a great mod tho!

@krizzygirl206: yep. try to put my mod BEFORE AGOT so they overwrite my offending files. But you will probably lose a lot of features of this mod.

Heads up for AGOT players: maybe it is my own mod playlist, or a bad interaction between this and another mod, but this mod was the culprit for a bug that let Kingsguard get married lol. I tried it at the top and bottom of my load order and had the issue until I remove it. It'll have to just stay in the vanilla game's playlist instead!

ck3 is about a medieval society with moral pressures and a legal respect to lineage and bloodlines for inheritances. so this is the only way to really represent this social pressure

"Already with kids = DOUBLE dislike"...I'd tweak that to be split as modifier: if ANY bastard DOUBLE and if any kid single dislike. Hmm? People died all the time + I get baggage, but they're not of your dynasty so whatever, no inheritance problems. The damn little gremlins can run around, who cares? @generalissimo: ok so i got what you mean, I was looking at faiths that had concubinage and wasnt seeing the issue. The OR in the code checks for faiths that have polygamy. So you get the polygamy acceptance malus against other faiths with polygamy, if you also have polygamy.

Yeah should be a NOR check instead, so it checks if you DONT have poly or concu. Works good in tests now. Thx for repporting the issue

@generalissimo: thoses no gameplay issues or you may have incompatible mods. Theres no negatives factors showing up by default. Do you have a screenshot?

The addition of concubinage checks allow cultures/faiths with concubinage to intermarry with those with polygamy, chance down to -200 instead of being blocked as in vanilla or getting a -1000.

This will always default to true due to the fact you normally only have concubinage or polygamy as part of only the faith or culture, as a result, for Asatru, we don't have the doctrine polygamous on the or polygamy on the culture, resulting in the modifier being applied since the and becomes true, while it shouldn't be because me and the recipient are of the same faith that accepts concubines. I hope I interpreted it incorrectly, but it was happening as I described in my test games.

Correct me if I am wrong, it looks like the Polygamy modifier for marriage is extremely restrictive? You have to have the faith and the culture be polygamous for it to be accepted, same for concubinage. So if you are from the Asatru faith with Norse culture you still have the massive -200 penalty since the Norse culture doesn't have the Concubinage doctrine, which makes no sense when you are marrying someone of your same culture and faith.

-removed close-family from arrange marriage candidate list, except direct child, now must go through marry off.
-added missing localization for marry off interaction dependent forced marriages
-added missing effect for marry off interaction dependent forced marriages
-removed all options but matrilineage choice for forced marriages interactions, auto accept anyway
-can remarry your divorcee exwife
-removed some concubinage files

-added a "use gold" option button to increase marriage acceptance. You will be giviving the gold to the recipient/lord.

-forced marry now gives the disinherited trait, to avoid exploits.
-forced marry victims who are rulers are now deposed.
-forced marry victims now sent to your court, so forced bethrothed kids join your court like spouses.
-hothothot fixed the force marry to give negative opinion like 'take concubine' interactions.
-reworked potential list, shows slightly less removed family members
-visualy reworked 'marry off' interaction's needed required opinion levels

I would like to nix the positive opinion requirement for courtiers please. You should be able to marry them off whether they like you or not. In England, it was actually the law that courtiers and nobility could not marry without the Monarch's consent, and often they were fixed up at court. I've never heard of a courtier having a choice in the matter.

Re-Release of this mod:
-Removed the duplicate dynast/house head interactions, just integrated the dynast powers into the vanilla marry off interaction. Duplicate interactions were broken, missing acceptance modifiers.
-Can marry off hostages.
-Can use the "use piety" option in the marry off interaction (vanilla bug?)
-Can take concubine Nuns
-Can marry mercenary captains

Just a heads up: the 2nd "Find Spouse" interaction, the one to force the marriage via Renown, seems to be bugged and doesn't factor in the various marriage factors, resulting in stuff that shouldn't fly like interfaith marriages. Here's a quick screenshot:

You can reproduce the above with the following steps:

1. Start as Charles the Bald in 867
2. Select dynasty member Count Ekkehard of Chalon and use the 2nd "Find Spouse" interaction
3. Filter by "Not Christianity" and observe the hundreds of candidates that shouldn't be available
4. Select Saga Hvitserk (her liege, Halfdan Whiteshirt, is also not Christian, which should give among others a -1000 acceptance score) and propose the marriage
5. Notice how it gets accepted because the only acceptance modifier present is "Base Willingness: +1"
